I saw an unbelievable amount of wildlife throughout the trip, and some of my favorite moments were watching the tiny baby lion cubs and spotting a leopard in the wild. Seeing these magnificent animals in their natural habitat was absolutely breathtaking and something I will never forget. Every game drive felt different, and there was always a sense of excitement about what we might discover next. Another highlight was the stunning Winelands. The scenery was breathtaking, with rolling vineyards, beautiful mountains, and charming estates everywhere you looked. I loved that the trip offered the perfect balance between exploration and relaxation. We had plenty of opportunities to experience incredible food, wine, and culture while also having time to slow down and truly enjoy the beauty of our surroundings. I’ve never seen a night sky like Namibia’s. The countless shooting stars and the sheer number of visible stars were beyond anything I could have imagined. It truly felt like you could see entire galaxies stretching across the sky. It was one of those rare experiences that makes you feel completely in awe of the world. Another unforgettable highlight was the adventure around Walvis Bay and the famous Sandwich Harbour dunes. Experiencing the dramatic meeting point of the Atlantic Ocean and the towering desert dunes was unlike anything I’ve ever seen. Driving across the massive sand dunes in the 4x4s was exhilarating, and the landscapes felt almost otherworldly. The contrast between the deep blue ocean and endless golden dunes created some of the most breathtaking scenery I’ve ever witnessed. The wildlife sightings also exceeded my wildest expectations. Seeing rhinos, giraffes, lions, and countless elephants in their natural habitat was simply breathtaking. Every game drive brought new surprises and unforgettable encounters. Watching these incredible animals against Namibia’s dramatic landscapes was something I’ll never forget. I also loved the road-trip aspect of the journey. Traveling through Namibia in fully equipped 4x4 vehicles allowed us to experience the country in a way that felt adventurous yet comfortable. The landscapes are unlike anywhere else in the world, and driving through them gave us the opportunity to truly appreciate their vastness and beauty. The accommodations were another highlight. Salty Luxe selected five incredible properties, each with its own unique character and experience. Every lodge felt special, offering a different perspective on the country while maintaining a high level of comfort, luxury, and hospitality.
