Gentle hiking on the Eagle-Vail trail to beautiful spot where we will do some letter writing a kind that serves as a powerful source of connection between friends, loved ones living and dead, or even strangers. Sometimes the alchemy of letters inspires us to write what we ourselves most need to hear. You will write tiny letters to yourself, sharing lessons and words you’ve held onto, or lessons or words you wish they’d shared, words you’d like to pass forward.&nbsp;

*A Temazcal is a traditional Mexican sweat lodge. &nbsp;The entire experience lasts about 2.5 hours. It usually begins with an opening circle to honor the 4 directions. We then enter the dome like structure and sit on the earth as the temazcalero guides us through a truly remarkable mystical experience.&nbsp;

*You will have an opportunity to experience the ancient healing waters on the Si'an Kaan biosphere lagoon just steps from Casa Maya Kaan. A boat will take you through the beautiful narrow passageway of mangroves. Then you will arrive at a spot where you float through these special turquoise waters. The feeling is one of delight and light-hearted connection to all that surrounds you.

Each tent has two queen beds, electricity, fans and nightly the staff will light candles to guide your way in.&nbsp;

Join us on International Women's Day to be in sisterhood for a Community Steam March 8th 6:30 - 8:30 pm Hosted by Sara Aumann &amp; <a target="_blank" href="https://www.maryaline.com">Mary Aline</a> Sara and Mary met in February 2023 after Sara suffered a miscarriage due to ectopic pregnancy rupture. Sara wanted to learn fertility awareness and other self care to heal her womb space. Sara found Mary's community steams very healing not only for her physical body but also being in sisterhood and hearing other's stories.&nbsp; While Mary has moved away from the Denver area she is back in town for a short time and Sara wanted to continue the community steams.&nbsp; We are adding a little twist for this steam:&nbsp; Sara will lead us through a forgiveness practice and <a target="_blank" href="https://drsha.com/tao-hands/">Tao Hands Blessing</a> for our womb space &amp; Mary will guide our yoni steam. You will have the opportunity to intuit which herbs to steam with and experience the power of steaming in sisterhood.&nbsp; We are offering this by donation. Please also feel free to bring herbs or teas as a donation.&nbsp;

Tao Forgiveness Practice

Steaming has been practiced by almost every indigenous culture in the world. In essence, a person sits or squats above a bowl filled with steaming water and herbs so that the steam reaches the person’s genitals. All sexes can steam. Steaming brings healing warmth to the genitals while increasing circulation and energy flow to the pelvis.&nbsp;

What is steaming? 

Do not steam if you could be pregnant or are actively trying to conceive- please check in with Mary ahead of time if you have questions about when in your cycle is most appropriate to steam.
 
Do not use steams if you have an active infection or during heavy bleeding. &nbsp;

Contraindications- things to consider

Stool/chair or bring a small glass or ceramic bowl where you will be placing your herbs and water. This bowl should be small enough to fit between your legs if you are in a child's pose, and large enough to hold about a cup of dried plant material and 1.5 cups of water (think a cereal bowl size) Pillows, towels (2) and blankets to set up around your bowl Wear a loose skirt/dress or bathrobe, clothing is optional if you would prefer to be nude&nbsp;&nbsp; Any crystals, altar items, or totems to support your process&nbsp; Water bottle- hydrate before, during, and after your steam Journal to record your experience&nbsp; Intentions for your steaming experience&nbsp;
