Had the most amazing trip with the most amazing host, Molly :) Her energy was radiant through out the trip, I was very pleased! Would highly recommend any trip with Molly!
Part of the reason why I took this trip is because I wanted to go to Morocco but I was scared of going alone as a female traveler who speaks a very small amount of high school French. The accommodations were great throughout the 3 cities we traveled and having all the meals, excursions and inter-city travel covered by the Solseed Team was awesome. They even sorted out getting our luggage from shuttles to hotels - there were no logistics we had to think about the entire trip, outside of our flights. Solseed also did a great job of cherry picking destinations on this trip - felt like our time was really well budgeted and they gave us great leads on what to do/where. Taghazout felt like a hidden gem that I would never have considered and Essaouira was another small city that I may not have made it to on my own. They did a great job scouting. The yoga & pilates classes were great - they were outside which was refreshing. (bring a few extra layers.) Our trip was a mix of some seasoned yogis and lots of less experienced folks - Kristin and Antonio did a good job of creating classes that had something for everybody. Yoga is my jam and I love a really hard class, so I think next time I might look for a group that is a bit more hardcore on that front, but that's not how this trip was billed at the get-go. They really took care of everyone on the trip and it was an amazing experience. Highly recommend this team to anyone looking for a great vacation.
Just amazing! Everything. Thank you!

Such an amazing trip! Well organized, wonderful people, great times! Forever grateful 🙏
Most amazing experience I’ve had to date. We went hiking, to natural hot springs, took a cooking class in a locals home, went horse back riding, practiced yoga with an incredible view, and ate delicious local food. The island and resort are beautiful. I met so many amazing people and made friendships that I am so thankful for. Everything was planned for us it was so nice. I highly recommend this company & retreat. I’m already thinking of signing up for another!
Again, another great retreat. Very well organized with great excursions...a real value. Takes traveling with a group to a new healthy level! Always look forward to their retreats.
The Azores retreat with CC and Carolyn was a fantastic trip! Their classes were amazing and they worked hard to feel out the group, customizing the schedule and tempo accordingly. The resort was in a stunning location and the staff kind and accommodating. Sol Seeds provided us with knowledgeable guides who clearly loved to share the many adventures to be found on the island! The itinerary was well thought out and organized, and the team worked very hard to make sure everyone was getting the most out of their experience!
It was a great trip, the Azores are amazing. Carolyn and CC are fabulous, top notch teachers, fun and great people. I expected more from SolSeed. I had a friend who raved about Kristen and Ian but they weren't on our trip. There were miscommunications with scheduling changes and planning excursions on free days that easily could have been avoided. Also, more information could have been provided about the resort so we knew what to expect. Nothing earth shattering but, for example, it would have been helpful to know that the staff spoke limited English so if we requested something (like towels or face cloths) we wouldn't always be understood (or get the face cloths!) The staff was always very nice and again not a big deal but would have been nice to know in advance. Fun Activities gets an A+ and all your tours should go back to the farm to table restaurant (one of the best meals I've ever had!) and the wine tour.
Trip was well planned. Resort was lovely, but did need to do something about slippery showers and better lighting on the walkways. Food was good; wine was outstanding. Planned days were very well done. All in all it was a very nice time.
Kristen and Ian, this was an amazing retreat! Thank you so much for everything you did. The retreat center and its location was so beautiful, the people were extremely helpful and friendly, and the food was exceptional! Plus, our yoga teachers and all of the ladies who attended this excursion were stellar! It was everything I wanted out of a yoga retreat and so much more!! Thanks again :) -Tara
We had a great time! The beauty of the Azores surrounded us at every turn. Our yoga & hiking retreat were enriched by wonderful hosts and a beautiful lodge. Once you step on to the Quinta Minuvida property, you feel the energy and warmth of the land and of the people. Rimi and Joao and Luis show their love of this beautiful island in every detail of this restored lodge, orchard and grounds. Gardens, yoga studio, outdoor fire pit and pool on the outside-and on the inside, the kitchen and dining area are the heart of the home. Our hosts provided incredible local cuisine and wonderful guided hikes. Great yoga instruction from both Jen and Rimi! Thanks for a wonderful experience.
Great yoga teachers and the group of women on this trip were a joy to be around for a week. The food was amazing. The resort site was more rustic then I was prepared for. Kristen and Ian were so responsive to any issues or questions I had.
The trip was fantastic and rejuvenating. All were helpful and accommodating.
A life-changing experience! Accommodations were great, food was amazing and the retreat was incredible. So grateful for both Heidi and Gretchen’s work as well as Kristen and Ian. You made it an awesome adventure!
Hi Kristin and Ian, Just wanted you to know how much I enjoyed the Nicaraguan GPY retreat and how impressed I was at the way you took care of all of us. The whole trip exceeded my expectations from top to bottom. Best wishes on upcoming trips. Perhaps you'll see me again with Gretchen and Nora on our next adventure. I look forward to recommending Solseed Retreats to any of your clients. Charity Folk

Excellent! Clean, delicious food in a remote setting that prioritized natural habitat over human luxury. It was a funky bungalow wonderland carved into the side of a hill overlooking a dramatic ocean vista. Turtles hatching, whales cruising by, monkeys feeding, cows on the beach, pelicans diving, are all straight up part of the scene at costa dulce. We did yoga looking out onto the deliciousness and then got first rate massage. No need to leave the compound, but when we did, it was an easy drive to the city for some culture and shopping. We surfed, hiked, fished, paddle boarded, salsa danced and sunbathed in our spare time. Surf was up, fun waves and a wonderful constant breeze made the warmth delightful. Solseed founders Kristin and Ian were on hand to ensure excellent service and offer many choices of excursions (I chose the city visit which included a stop at statue of Jesus de la Misericordia and zip lining). Their inside knowledge of the country and its people, their contacts with conscientious local providers and their enthusiasm made the trip a total success. This is my true paradise and I am still high from the experience. Lets hope America or capitalism doesnt get its hands on Costa Dolce or Nicaragua. If they do, I am confident Solseed will be exploring new pristine locations that maintain the integrity of their business!
Wonderful hosts who were eager to share with us the unique features of this beautiful island. Food was fresh, local and delicious. Well planned itinerary and balance of excursions and free time.

There are so many reasons to go on a yoga wellness retreat...self-exploration, meeting new amazing people, exploring new places and having a week of mindful, energetic and grounding yoga led by amazing instructors. Both Nina and Jenna were the perfect compliment to each other in daily classes. Also, Kristin and Ian were incredibly helpful and resourceful during our whole week. Our week was filled with as much (or as little) as you wanted to do. I would highly recommend the Isla Verde, Lake Atitlan Yoga Retreat to anyone thinking of going. I am filled with cherished memories of meeting kind-hearted, great people, a beautiful culture and scenery, and a really great week of yoga!

I really don't know where to start, but probably by saying THANK YOU to Jenna&Nina for the amazing experience I had in Guatemala. I booked this trip only a few days before leaving for Guatemala, not knowing the instructors or anybody else in the group. From the first email to the last goodby I have been immediately welcomed in this group of amazing yogis (I had the best roommates!). The classes and workshops were incredibile, super useful to a beginner yogi like me (I started to take yoga classes only a couple of months ago). The accommodation in Antigua was wonderful, our resort in Lake Atitlan too (even though we stayed in one of the old cabins and there was no hot water, but really who cares when you have the best view out of your window!); they also were able to accomodate my allergy restrictions (I was "Chiaranogarlicnoonion") better than in many fancy restaurants in NYC. I really want to mention that not only Jenna&Nina were amazing instructors but most of all amazing people, caring and smiling throughout this spectacular journey together. Thank you so so much, ladies, and namaste.

I had an incredible time. The trip was the perfect amount of culture, yoga, relaxation and fun. Kristin and Antonio were not only great teachers but they were also amazing hosts. I can’t even express how much I have been promoting this trip. I think my co workers are getting annoyed with me. LoL. But I truly recommend this trip, and I’m already looking forward to the next one.
Let me start off by saying this trip was an incredible experience. I can't thank Jenna and Nina enough for bringing together such an amazing group of people. We had 33 people on this retreat, and everyone got along great. We ranged in ages, gender, yoga experience, life experience, etc., and we were all able to connect on some level. I know we all made some lifelong friends on this retreat. Better yet, we have some excuses to travel and visit new friends in new places. What I love about Jenna and Nina is that they had a schedule in place for yoga practices as well as a couple excursions. But the best part of all of that is that it was all optional, and there was no judgment. Too tired to get up for 8am yoga? Jenna and Nina encouraged us to listen to our bodies and sleep in. They led wonderful yoga classes that challenged us when we needed it, but they also led classes that nurtured our bodies when we were exhausted from hiking. They even led morning meditations that were open and encouraging, especially to anyone who is new to meditation or doesn't have a current meditation practice. What this all boils down to is that this was my husband's and my first yoga retreat, and we just keep talking about the next one. So, I want to give a big thanks to Nina and Jenna for putting on an amazing retreat, and a big thank you to Solseed for being our guides and helping us with the lay of the land at Lake Atitlan. It was a big success for everyone, and I hope we all get a chance to reconnect another time.
MY
This was my first yoga retreat and I could not have asked for a better experience, group of people, or teachers. Nina and Jenna both brought a lot of variety in yoga and teaching experience to each class during the week. They held guided meditations, more traditional vinyasa classes, and workshop-style classes. In one week, there was opportunities to do inversion, arm balance, yoga basics, happy back and heart opener workshops. I learned something new with each class, whether how to get into a specific pose or how to be patient and caring of my body on and off the mat. We had an incredible opportunity to work with Mayan Families and spend time teaching pre-school aged children yoga and art classes. The experience was very grounding and an incredible opportunity to give back to the community, learn and experience Guatemalan culture. Lake Atitlan is the perfect place for adventure and rejuvenation. The group of people on the retreat were all friendly, kind, and brought a positive energy to the entire week. I'm so grateful I had the opportunity to experience Guatemala in such a unique way with two amazing teachers, great guidance from Solseed, and a wonderful group of yogis. I'm already looking forward to my next retreat with Jenna and Nina!
A trip of a lifetime. First, Nina and Jenna were the best spirit guides to take us all through this journey. Having only taken beginner yoga classes, I was initially nervous whether I could keep up. Not the case. They organized a retreat that was both accessible and pushed my practice to the next level. They created a safe environment to try new things, ask questions and challenge your assumptions. They were also spectacular teachers and mentors beyond just my yoga practice offering advice and counsel on meditation, books, and life! Thank you both for an outstanding trip. Second, I definitely can't forget Ian and Kristin from Solseed. They are like chameleon tour guides that adapt and flex to accommodate every need on the trip whether it was organizing different daily excursions, handing out tailored advice based on your needs, or even accommodating some crazy requests (Super Bowl watch party in rural Guatemala. They made it happen). They accept every request with open arms and accommodate it graciously. In addition to Nina and Jenna, they worked alongside the entire group creating a communal culture (versus servitude or experts looking down on us). Thank you for your compassion and optimism. Overall, can't wait for my next adventure with this group.

Let me just start by saying that I never in a million years thought I would go on a yoga retreat, but I am so grateful that I did. This was hands down the best thing I have ever done for myself!! Nina and Jenna are amazing teachers with so much knowledge to offer to anyone’s physical and spiritual practice. They are two of the most wonderful, down to earth, kind humans, and I am so lucky to have shared this experience with them. Our retreat was a combination of people from all over the country and beyond. I feel like this was the most important take home from my retreat- getting out of my Boston bubble and connecting with different types of people with various life experiences. Each day was filled with optional activities and our teachers were so flexible with practice times etc to ensure that we all got the most out of the retreat experience. The energy of our group was truly amazing and I returned home feeling totally refreshed. Kristin and Ian (Mom and dad of our retreat!) are the best!! Everything flowed seamlessly due to their behind the scenes work. They are experts at the retreat coordinating process and became our best resource and friends at the retreat. They are such a loving, supportive and fun couple. This is something I will be saving for every year. Going on a yoga retreat is an amazing way to travel the world, make new friends and rejuvenate your body and soul I’m so glad I took the plunge and went!

If you want to retreat yourself, you've come to the right place. Besides being wonderful human beings, Kristin and Ian at SolSeed are incredibly knowledgeable, fun, passionate and professional. The location was inspiringly beautiful with rich culture set in one of the world's geological marvels. The instructors, Jenna and Nina, are both excellent instructors and overall just wonderful, bright lights that are a joy to be with. The experience was a rejuvenating balance of fun with the group and time alone to reflect... depth with lightness, laughter and heart centered connections, daily yoga practice that uplifts and restores, delicious healthy meals, and acquaintances that become friends for life.... LAKE LIFE, BEST LIFE! I am filled with gratitude. Thank you. ❤🙏

Beautiful resort and great teachers ! Had a great time and looking forward to the next one :)
It was an amazing trip. Very well put together and organized. The location and hotel were fantastic, as was their staff and the local establishments we were referred to or who provided services to us. We had a selection of activities, along with a few planned excursions for the group as well. Am looking forward to the next trip which I am sure will be just as great or better!
I'm not new to vacationing around the world, and I consider myself to have very high expectations - having said that, the trip that Kristin & Antonio organized and led was the single greatest vacation of my life! Where do I start? Maybe at the beginning... upon arriving in Guatemala City, we were greeted by our group leaders with a van waiting and ready to take us to our first hotel. This quick stop over in Antigua was a fantastic way to start the trip - hotel was beautiful, the pre-arranged dinner at a local restaurant was delicious, and Kristin and Antonio really made everyone feel very welcome; setting up the week for a truly unbelievable experience. While there are always speed bumps along the way, traveling through Guatemala with the group was a breeze. Comfortable and safe buses waiting for us wherever we were; organized boat trips with helpful local professionals to assist whenever we needed a hand. Once we arrived at our main location, it took a moment to believe that this was "real life". The venue of our yoga retreat was a quaint yet beautiful, awe inspiring, and relaxing oasis on the banks of a spectacular volcanic/crater lake. Our accommodations were stunningly gorgeous in a rustic sense, yet comfortable enough to call home base for the week. One of the greatest aspects of Isla Verde's location is the steep hill on which is sits. The cabins are spread all the way up, connected by a winding staircase built into the terrain. As someone who needed a bit of exercise during the winter months, this was a great way to get in some good cardio each time we returned to our rooms. And obviously being so high up, the views from each secluded cabin were phenomenal. Food and Drink: Local fresh ingredients and healthy options made each meal a delight. A multitude of options were offered, pleasing every diet imaginable (ok, maybe not strict carnivores). The fully stocked bar and fruit smoothies made sipping a Pina Colada on the sun deck a must! The local women working in the kitchen crafted each fruity beverage with perfect authenticity. Excursions: Kristin and Antonio made it very clear that this was a time for us to do what felt good and right for our own experiences. The option for a hike through the hills was magnificent, however, you could simply opt-out if relaxing in a hammock was more your style. Additionally, our trip leaders really had their finger on the pulse of the trip. For example, they sensed that a large group wanted to go to a specific town to go shopping. So instead of sending us on our own, they simply organized a private boat to take the group. It worked out better than ever, and these small adjustments to the trip proved to me that they cared about us and our experience. The people: while every group is different, the individuals on this trip were wonderful. I give credit to Kristin and Antonio for this. They themselves are lovely, caring, thoughtful people, and I'm not surprised that they attract others like themselves. The group got along so well that I am sure most of us will stay friends going forward. This review is getting long, but I'm sure I missed plenty. Overall, I cannot stress how great of a trip this was... and I know Kristin and Antonio are definitely a huge part of why it was so successful. I cannot wait for the next opportunity to join them in another exotic location, to experience new cultures, eat delicious foods, meet new people, and really enjoy my time on this beautiful blue dot we call earth. Thank you Kristin and Antonio. I will never forget this experience you gave me, and I hope everyone has the same opportunities you gave me. love you guys, -evan

This is my 3rd Solseed Retreat and have to admit it has been by far my favorite (although they have all been great!). For starters, Kristin and Antonio make an incredible team. The combo of pilates every morning and yoga every afternoon is a perfect balance of feeling fit, healthy and restored. They also create a relaxed, fun and inclusive environment for every attendee. There is also no pressure to be a serious yogi, the classes are as challenging as you want it to be, and completely judge-free if you don't feel up to going to every class. There is normally a few planned activities including a hike, visit to a town, and a night out, but these are all optional if you would prefer to spend your days relaxing. Secondly, Atitlan is a magical place. The retreat center is right on a huge lake surrounded by towns, the cabins are mostly up the mountains with incredible lake views. There are boat taxis to get to each lake town with awesome shopping, great hikes and cliff jumps. Both the indoor and outdoor yoga studio overlook the water which has an ocean-like sound - the perfect way to feel present during your practice. The nights are somewhat chilly in the high 50s, so definitely be sure to bring layers, but the air is dry, so it isn't an uncomfortable cold. But there is nothing like watching the sunrise each morning, quickly warming everything up as it peers over the mountains - the perfect way to start your day with fresh fruit and hot coffee with a view of the lake. I can't recommend these trips enough whether you are traveling solo or with friends - Atitlan in particular is an incredible place, but you honestly cannot go wrong going anywhere with Kristin and Antonio!

I had a wonderful time. Great scenery, well organized tours, will definitely recommend. Thank you!

The island of San Miguel, Azores is an easy direct destination. It is empatative that you check on where you are staying on the island or you will spend more time in a van or car than relaxing, hiking or practicing yoga. There are beautiful vistas, great food and wonderful people on this island. Sadly we only had one practice a day and that was in a studio without any heat, a concrete floor that held the damp cold of the season, and no time before practice to even warm our bodies due to a scheduled meditation which excluded any prepatory practice. The inn’s owners were lovely and insured we had amazing food served largely from their own garden. But due to being in the heart of the older orange grove arigrucultural area where the roads were narrow without sidewalksand blocked on either side by high walls, all with gnashing and feriocious guard dogs that stalked and barked at everyone passing, So that walking anywhere was taking your life in your own hands to avoid being killed by the maniacal Portuguese drivers, The levels of our fellow travelers were quite Aires’s between those who had never practiced to those of us who were looking to experience the “ Primal Adventures with Todd Sklogund” that was promised when we signed on. Sadly “Primary Experience” would have been a better description of our retreat. Think twice before booking your trip!
This trip was a soul nourishing experience. It included daily yoga, but so much more. We stayed in an outstanding guest house (MINUVIDA) where the hosts shared their passion for fresh, locally grown food - much of it from their gardens and orchards - and for the beautiful island on which they live. We loved the hikes, vistas, and hot springs. Sol Seed Retreats, and owner Kristin in particular, could not have been nicer or more helpful. She was informative in preparing us for the trip, and was available to assist with special needs and requests while we were there.
