Star Destination was a big disappointment. They were difficult to connect with, always having computer issues, upgrades, no one to talk to, or they just couldn't answer questions. We asked to make monthly payments, were told we could, then it was still just the initial downpayment and a final full payment. I filled out in the requests that I could please sit in the front of the bus for health reasons. Not a word about this until we were in Omaha at the airport. At that time Pamela did not greet me with a hello, she immediately said that I could not sit in the front seats the entire time and that this was not considered a health issue. She was negative and confrontational. Why was this the first time hearing that my accommodation was not going to be granted? Pamela's negativity and rudeness set a tone that lasted the entire trip. Pamela generally talked non-stop on the microphone, giving us poor information that didn't help with the trip. She told us information for the next day rather than information about the actual day. Very confusing for the older members of the trip having to then repeat everything, including times to meet the bus. Perhaps, send each member an email with the pertinent information for the day. She said that she'd been doing this for years and years, but it was difficult to believe her as she was not able to give people the information they needed in manageable pieces. We have never wanted to be done with a trip and go home like we did with Pamela. Several group members also felt this way and because my husband and I are easy to talk to, they would complain and share their frustrations with us. Some avoided Pamela like the plague. We will never take another OLLI trip as long as Star Destinations is the host. We were so disappointed with the lack of professionalism, courtesy, computer skills, and lack of people skills of Pamela and Star Destinations. Please consider a different travel company.

It was a wonderful trip. There were so many learning opportunities, a variety of dining experiences, good accommodations and congenial people. Dawn did an excellent job in adapting to unexpected changes in our itinerary. We appreciate OLLI making these opportunities available.

I saw everything that mattered to me, and then some. At Dinner at the Brazilian Steakhouse, we were treated like royalty.

What an excellent trip! I appreciate how the tour guide and travel agency managed to switch around our days #5 and #6 agendas to avoid the travel snafus that were going to be caused by the protest. That can't have been easy. I would like to point out my difficulty with using the airline app, b/c I was part of a group of eight within the tour who all got registered together, and therefore, could not individually use the app. There was also some miscommunication between some tour group members and the tour guide, causing a couple of different folks to get left behind on two separate occasions. Once the tour guide started counting us, everything smoothed out!
