The retreat was amazing. The most wonderful location, food, and people!

The Sacred Pause Retreat at Stowell Lake Farm is, hands down, the best thing I do for myself ALL year! Dawn and Taryn and the farm staff curate the most beautiful experience for everyone involved… from the instant connections created on the ferry ride to Saltspring Island, to the relaxed pace of the scheduled offerings like trauma informed yoga and breathwork … to the exquisite nourishing food and conversations that occur when like-hearted women gather. I will partake in this event at every opportunity… I return home relaxed and refreshed and ready to move through the world in alignment with myself. The ripple effect of the self-care that is encouraged during this retreat is invaluable for me and my kids… I’m so grateful for the connections I’ve made through this experience.

Thank you, Taryn, and team for another amazing retreat and sacred pause. This was my fourth year at Stowell Lake Farms and each year is nothing short of amazing. The magical mystery of bringing 20+ women together (who have nothing in common but an interest in healing and growth) and then giving them the invitation, permission and freedom to do and feel things they normally don't (or sometimes can't) is a prescription for life that most never get or have. I have brought my friends, daughter and sister to different retreats and then this year had the joy of having them all there together and I cannot even begin to share the impact it has had on my connection to myself and them. The 'Sacred Pause' retreat delivered exactly what it promises in the name: four luxurious days to relax, reflect, and connect in a serene and beautiful locale. Besides the participants themselves, highlights of the retreat include the delicious, nourishing (and beautiful!) food, the natural beauty of the property itself; the beautiful facilities have clearly been designed with intentionality, they are spotlessly maintained, and they lend themselves to the activities being done in them. (i.e, dining, yoga and socializing). I would highly recommend this retreat experience to any woman in recovery, looking to disconnect from day-to-day life for a bit, and connect with other kindred spirits who share the same goal.

Taryn's retreats are always warm & soul nurturing. Stowell Lake farm is a beautiful large piece of land, with a staff that makes the stay comfortable, along with the most delicious food (much of which comes right off the land!). The retreat itself offers yoga, down time, reflections, intention setting, sharing circles, and community. It's an event I look forward to every summer, where I can practice self-care and connection.
