This tour of the central highlands of Mexico was distinctive. The tour was very well conceived and planned, giving us a colorful, safe, street level view of San Miguel de Allende and Guanajuato. The itinerary went beyond visiting cathedrals and museums, taking us through the streets and countryside with fun local guides, interacting with various artists and creative locals. We even paddled kayaks out to explore an old church. The accommodations were first rate and the food too was excellent, ranging from the best street vendors to swanky rooftop restaurants. I highly recommend tours organized and led by Tom Deus and Joan Strong.

I had a fantastic action packed week with incredible activities, but paced so not overwhelming! Staying in a former bordello in San Miguel was amazing, touring wineries and kayaking to an old abandoned church on the reservoir in Guanajuato . Everything was so perfect that it made this trip one of my all time favorites! If you’re looking for something special, this is where you’ll find it by traveling with Tom & Joan!
