There was a lot we really liked about our trip. All of the recommended hotels were fabulous with excellent service and great locations. There is little doubt that WATJ knows Switzerland well and has good ideas and connections. That said, we felt there were some details that were missed from our final understanding of our itinerary. We believe that there was a disconnect between what was planned and what ultimately ended up being our final arrangements. For example, we specifically requested a hike be moved from our first full day in the country to the second full day. This was agreed to in the planning stage. When we got the final itinerary a couple of weeks prior to the trip, it was still scheduled for the first day and at that point it was too late to correct the mistake. This was not ideal for us. Also, the detail of the hike we not entirely clear. We had trouble connecting with the guide on the day of the hike. We were not provided the gear that we were told we would be provided. For example, we were supposed to be provided trekking polls but were not. We were also supposed to meet the guide at a specific location. The problem was there were 2 locations with similar names. There was the actual Glacier Paradise Restaurant on the top of the mountain and another restaurant of the same name at the base next to the gondola. He was waiting up top and we were at the bottom, were we thought we would meet to get the gear that was promised and then ride up together. In the end it worked out. We ended up being an hour late connecting with the guide who was clearly frustrated. We gave him a nice tip for his extra time, but I also think we were really rushed up and down Breithorn because of the misunderstanding. This took away from the experience. We also felt like to the 2 pre-booked restaurants were just OK. I also understand that this is our subjective view of our experience. Our canyoneering experience was fantastic. I would highly recommend it to those looking for a unique experience. Be aware, you need to be really comfortable with cold water and situations involving repelling and climbing. Our guide in Luzern was great. The cruise on the lake was memorable, but the trip up Mt Rigi, not so much. There were 3 different individuals involved in our trip planning, the final itinerary detail presentation to us, and handling the arrangements in country. We did feel like there was a disconnect in communication between the 3 parties involved. WATJ did a great job of tailoring our trip to our adventurous side, which was what we were going for. For that, they truly excelled. We do wish the details agreed to in planning had not been missed in the final arrangements. For this reason, we cannot give the trip our highest rating. Despite the issues, I would whole heartedly recommend WATJ to anyone looking for expert travel planning to Switzerland.

Meticulously planned trip. We had a wonderful time, with excellent and friendly guides. Dev is not only a foodie, but she and her team made sure that the restaurants took into account our dietary restrictions.

What an amazing journey! Everything was well planned and executed to perfection. Guides were friendly, interesting and always focusing on our experience. The day trips were fun and interesting and the evening meals were amazing. I thought each accommodation was beautiful and then it was surpassed by the next one. Bravo!!

To travel halfway around the world and persuade three friends, including two seasoned travelers, to join us in a Thailand adventure is a testament to our trust in Weave a Thousand Journeys (we are repeat clients). It not only highlights our confidence in the company's offerings but also speaks to the reliability and reputation of Weave a Thousand Journeys as a travel provider. It took a dedicated team, led by Devaki, to organize, coordinate, and deliver a top-shelf experience. From the thoroughness of the pre-trip details, to having a greeting team on arrival, and providing uninterrupted support until our departure, the Weave a Thousand Journeys support staff was consistently present and attentive throughout our trip. Our experiences in Thailand exceeded all expectations. We benefited from knowledgeable and professional guidance that offered firsthand and intimate insights into Thai culture—experiences we would not have discovered on our own. Whether navigating Bangkok’s vibrant markets, majestic temples, river tours, and canals, exploring historic Chiang Mai and one of its numerous elephant sanctuaries in the mountain forests, or relaxing at some of the finest beach resorts in Phuket to the south, we felt truly connected thanks to the unwavering support we received. Being immersed in Thailand’s culinary world was an all-encompassing experience, ranging from the best street vendors to Michelin-rated restaurants. Everyone agreed that our dining experiences were five-star. This included participating in cooking classes at Blue Elephant Cooking Schools, renowned as one of the most respected and immersive Thai culinary experiences in the country. The chef made the classes enjoyable and engaging, even for those who are not typically interested in cooking! If it’s a great travel experience you cherish, it takes time. Time that we can't recover. Make it count. Make it memorable, make it Weave a Thousand Journeys!

This was my first experience with Dev and WATJ. To say that this trip exceeded all expectations would be an understatement. Her attention to detail, her procurement of unique and extraordinary experiences, and her ability to bring a once in a lifetime experience to our group was truly remarkable.
