Carrie is wonderful, enthusiatic, and inspiring. We had a wonderful time and would go again.

This was my first experience with Whale Research EcoExcursions, and I was not disappointed! From the initial contact with Carrie and her team, to navigating the trip website, they made planning this trip of a lifetime so easy and memorable. I have dietary restrictions, and they bent over backwards to make sure the staff in Baja were aware of all of my situation. Planning guides for how to pack were very detailed, and the daily schedule of events were clear and concise. They also made sure you had a clear expectation on what the trip entailed and it was left up to your choice how active/laid back you could participate. The Baja hosts were incredible. This family-run operation was terrific and kudos to them for making their guests feel completely at home in their ecological oasis. Daily whale excursions were well organized, and safety precautions were always observed. And our guides/boat drivers were always mindful we were traveling in the whales' habitat, and were never over-zealous or harassing the animals. Trips could be very exciting with sightings around the boat, or exploratory while traveling in the lagoon to find the whales. I feel very fortunate to have experienced this trip and would highly recommend it to those who have a deep appreciation of fragile wildlife and ecosystems adventures.

Just what I'd hoped for: well-run place, friendly & helpful staff, even very comfortable beds. Seeing & being welcomed in the lagoon home of Mama & baby grey whales was magical & intimate. Their interest in letting us watch them play and approach us was most moving. Our guides were knowledgeable & helpful. The organizer & lead guide, Carrie, was fantastically knowledgeable, not just about whales, but so many other areas: animals, birds, plants, the heavens, and so willing to share! This is a once in a lifetime experience; don't miss it!!

We had the best time on this fabulous trip! Loved the manatees, the educational experience and everything about this trip. This one will be a top memory forever!
