Sanbra Ghana 2026 – Frequently Asked Questions

Derrick R. Wood Foundation x LoversQuest Travel

Theme: Return With Purpose – Easter Week 2026

Booking & Payments

  • Who is handling bookings for this trip?

All reservations are handled exclusively through LoversQuest Travel on behalf of the Derrick R. Wood Foundation. This keeps everything coordinated — hotel contracts, room blocks, group transportation, payment plans, and trip communication.

  • Can I book the hotel directly because I see cheaper prices online?

No. All travelers must book through LoversQuest with the official group package.

Online hotel prices only cover the room. They do not include transportation, guided tours, meals, experiences, media services, Hydro Garden project costs, or group rate benefits. Our package includes the full, curated experience — not just a place to sleep.

  • Can I book my own hotel and just join the group for tours?

No. To keep the experience safe, smooth, and meaningful, all travelers must stay with the group at the same hotel. That’s how we coordinate transportation, timing, media coverage, and daily communication.

  • Can I get a discount if I stay fewer days?

No. The price reflects the entire program — not just your length of stay.

Transportation, staffing, project materials, guides, and media costs remain the same whether you attend the full 8 days or choose to miss a portion.

  • Why can’t I customize my experience?

Sanbra Ghana is a curated, shared community journey. For the purpose and flow of the trip to work — and for everyone to experience it fully and safely — we move as one group rather than as individual custom itineraries.

  • Are payment plans available?

Yes. Flexible monthly payment plans are available through LoversQuest so you can spread out the cost over time.

  • Is my deposit refundable?

No. Deposits are non-refundable because they immediately secure your spot, room, and your share of the pre-arranged logistics in Ghana.

  • Why is there Early Bird pricing, and why does the price increase in January?

Early Bird pricing is a thank you to those who commit early. Early commitments help us:

• Lock in hotel room blocks at better rates

• Confirm transportation and buses

• Secure tours, guides, and time slots

• Plan media staffing and project materials

In January, our vendors (hotels, transportation, tours, and supplies) increase their rates and lock in final contracts. The trip price must adjust to match those real costs.

Booking early:

• Locks in the lowest rate

• Gives you more time to make payments

• Reserves your spot before we sell out

Travel & Logistics

  • What airport do I fly into?

You’ll fly into Kotoka International Airport (ACC) in Accra, Ghana.

  • Will someone pick me up from the airport?

Yes. The Derrick R. Wood Foundation and LoversQuest coordinate group pick-ups so you arrive safely and start the journey with the group.

  • What if my flight arrives at a different time than others?

We will still coordinate your pickup and make sure you are welcomed and transported safely to the hotel.

  • Will I have free time?

Yes. The itinerary is full and enriching, but intentional downtime is built in so you can rest, recharge, and explore lightly on your own.

Itinerary & Experiences

  • What experiences are included in the trip?

Your package includes a powerful mix of culture, adventure, rest, and impact:

• Makola Market

• Kwame Nkrumah Memorial Park

• Christianborg / Osu Castle

• Aburi Botanical Gardens

• Oboadaka Waterfalls

• Volta Region Quest

• Adomi Bridge photo experience

• Wli Waterfalls

• Tafi Atome Monkey Sanctuary

• Nkyinkyim Museum

• Aqua Safari Day

• Chocolate Factory experience

• Accra Nightlife Quest

• Hydro Garden Service Project

• Farewell Dinner

  • Can I skip some activities if I’m tired or not interested?

Yes. You are free to rest or sit out an activity if needed.

However, the package price remains the same because the cost to operate the program (buses, guides, staff, media, logistics) does not change.

megaphone icon

Group Experience

  • Do I have to move with the group?

Yes. This is designed as a community experience — shared buses, shared tours, shared meals, and shared moments. Moving together keeps everyone safe, on time, and fully included in the journey.

  • Is this a good trip for solo travelers?

Absolutely. Many travelers come alone and end up leaving with new family. Roommate pairing is available if you’re traveling solo and want to share.

  • Will there be professional photos and videos?

Yes. Our media team will document the journey so you can be fully present in the moment and still return home with memories you can share.

Purpose & Service

  • What is the Hydro Garden Service Project?

It’s our signature community impact project. Together, we help install hydroponic gardens for local schools in Ghana, supporting food access, agriculture education, and long-term sustainability.

  • Can I sponsor a Hydro Garden or a mentee even if I’m not traveling?

Yes. You can sponsor:

• A Hydro Garden for a school, or

• A mentee who has been invited to travel but needs financial support

This is one of the most powerful ways to support the mission.

Final Questions

  • How do I know if this trip is right for me?

This journey is for you if you’re craving:

• Cultural connection

• Spiritual or emotional healing

• Purpose-driven travel

• Service and impact

• Joy, adventure, and community

• Space to reflect and grow as a leader

If that resonates, Sanbra Ghana 2026 was designed with you in mind.

  • What if I still have questions?

We’re here for that.

You can message the Derrick R. Wood Foundation or LoversQuest Travel directly, or attend our live information session to get your questions answered in real time.
