Salaam Sisters, I’m so excited to invite you to join me in Dahab this November for Wanderlust Women’s first ever women-only dive trip! This is a truly special journey, led by women, for women.
We’re taking things off the mountains and into the sea, with female instructors, female guides, and an incredible group of sisters by your side.
Whether you’ve always dreamed of diving or are just curious to try something new, this is your chance to explore Egypt’s stunning underwater world, soak up the desert’s serenity, and be part of a growing wave of women divers.
The world needs more of us out there! I can’t wait to experience it all with you. Amira x
An entry-point for those new to the water.
This experience is designed for beginners with no previous diving knowledge required. We focus on creating a safe, controlled environment where you can gain confidence in the water at your own pace.
Led by the H2O Divers team, you will learn the fundamental safety guidelines and equipment skills needed to experience the Red Sea’s reefs firsthand. This is about building a foundation and experiencing the underwater world with the support of a community that understands the importance of feeling seen and safe in outdoor spaces.
Requirements: None. Open to all beginners.
Focus: Safety, equipment basics, and building confidence in a new environment.
For those looking to deepen their skills and gain global certification.
If you have previous diving experience or have completed a Discover Scuba dive and want to take the next step, this extension is for you. This is a transition from being a guest in the water to becoming a qualified diver.
The Open Water course requires a commitment to learning the technical "why" behind diving. You will move through knowledge development and practical skill sessions in shallow water before completing four full dives on the reefs of Dahab. Upon completion, you will be a PADI certified diver, qualified to dive to 18 meters anywhere in the world.
Requirements: Some previous experience required (comfort in the water/previous intro dive).
Focus: Technical skill mastery, dive theory, and gaining your international certification.
This qualification is for life and allows you to dive anywhere is the world with a registered dive centre and dive guide.
We arrive in Dahab and settle into our private hotel, our home for the week. There’s time to unpack, unwind by the pool, jot down a few thoughts in a journal, or simply take in the peaceful surroundings.
Led by a local yoga instructor, prepare your body and mind for a week of adventure and exploration.
As night falls, we venture into the desert for a traditional Bedouin dinner under the stars. A magical evening of delicious food, optional local music, and deepening group connection.
In the afternoon, we trade fins for hooves and head out on a scenic horse ride, either along the beach or into the desert, followed by sweet tea at a local Bedouin camp. It’s a chance to slow down, connect with nature, and enjoy the quieter pace of life here in Dahab.
Led by a local yoga instructor, a time to stretch, rest, and reflect on your adventure so far.
The afternoon is ours to shape. We might relax at the hotel, swim in the Red Sea, or choose to explore the local town.
In the afternoon, we’ll head to the mountains for a hike or rock climb (to be confirmed closer to the time). This will be a chance to trade fins for boots as we explore the rugged beauty surrounding Dahab. Whether we are scaling local peaks or trekking through the desert's serenity, it is an opportunity to slow down, connect with nature, and enjoy the quieter pace of life with your sisters.
After breakfast, it’s time to check out and begin our journey home. Rested, inspired, and with a new sense of connection to the ocean, the desert, and each other.
The PADI Open Water course is the industry standard for those looking to move beyond a trial experience and become certified divers. This course is a four-day commitment that transitions you from a beginner to a globally recognised diver, qualified to dive to 18 meters anywhere in the world.
This trip extension is hosted by experienced team at H2O Divers Dahab.
The course is structured around three key phases:
Knowledge Development: You will complete the theory portion via PADI eLearning. This ensures you understand the safety protocols, equipment mechanics, and physics of diving before you even get in the water.
Confined Water Sessions: You will practice essential skills in a shallow, sheltered environment (often at Dahab’s Lighthouse Reef). This is where you build muscle memory, mastering buoyancy and safety drills until they become second nature.
Open Water Dives: You will complete four full dives on Dahab’s world-class reefs. Under the guidance of your instructor, you’ll apply your skills in the open sea while exploring the Red Sea’s vibrant marine life.
Previous Diving: While the Open Water course is technically the first level of certification and requires no prior scuba experience, we recommend this extension for those who have completed our Discover Scuba Diving main trip or already have a high level of comfort in open water.
Swimming Ability: Factually, to complete this course, you must demonstrate basic water skills. This includes being able to swim 200 meters (unaided and without stopping) and being able to float or tread water for 10 minutes to ensure you are comfortable and safe in the ocean environment.
Health: All participants must be in good physical health. You will be required to complete a standard PADI Medical Statement before hitting the water. If you have certain pre-existing conditions (such as asthma or heart issues), a doctor’s sign-off is required by H2O Divers to ensure your safety.
Commitment: This is more than just a holiday activity; it is a performance-based certification course. You aren't just paying for a license, you are committing to training that makes you a safe, competent diver.
