The first stop on this tour is a village called San Juan del Obispo, which sits at the foothills of the Agua Volcano. In San Juan, we visit a famous chocolate factory called “Chocolateria Antigua,” where they show us part of the chocolate-making process, taste different flavors, and purchase the ones that we like. Once finished, we visit the village's central plaza, where we can get a nice view of the city of Antigua below us. After a few pictures, we will head down the mountain and cross the entire city to the hill of El Hato, located on the valley's Northside. Our first stop on that side of the valley is ¨El Cerro de la Cruz¨, one of Antigua's best-known attractions/sites. At the ¨Cross¨ we get a bird’s eye view of Antigua, the city's incredible architecture, and the beautiful volcanoes. Once finished at the Cross, we will return to our ATVs and head up to ¨Hobbitenango¨ a lord of the rings themed eco-park for food, drinks, and fun. We leave our ATVs parked at El Hato and head up to Hobbitenango on a pick-up truck to sightsee and enjoy great views and various activities in this enchanted little forest. Our last stop is the lunch stop at a place hidden in the mountain called “Earth Lodge,” an avocado plantation with a restaurant, yoga studio, cabins, and tree houses serving more casual food like sandwiches, salads, and burgers to go along with some fresh smoothies.
