About your trip

The Semuc Champey Natural Park in the Q'eqchi' language means "where the river hides" is a limestone bridge approximately 300 meters long over the Cahabón River, which makes it a unique spectacle in this natural paradise. It is located in a thick tropical forest 12 km from the municipality of Lanquín, Alta Verapaz, Guatemala.

Submerged in the dense jungle in the middle of it, it consists of several pools formed of different depths, depending on the season it can reach up to 4 meters deep, fed by crystal clear water filtered from the mountains, being of a turquoise or jade color depending on the climatic factors and the amount of light that touches its waters.

It consists of marked trails, bathrooms, changing rooms, rustic lockers and a viewpoint that is at a height of 700 meters and the ascent is usually done in an hour, as well as a 40-foot waterfall.
