About this trip
Bahía Boat Surf Trip
A surf trip of about 4 to 5 hours from Sayulita to the breaks inside Bahía, Punta de Mita. These waves can only be reached by boat and offer longer rides and more powerful sections than the breaks around Sayulita.
Choose individual surfing with a local guide, or surf with an instructor (semi-private or private coaching). You'll spend about 2 to 3 hours in the water.
We meet at Marea Surf School in Sayulita, drive together to Punta de Mita and take a short boat ride into the bay. Trips usually run in the morning; we confirm the exact time 24 hours before, depending on ocean conditions.
This trip is for intermediate and advanced surfers. New to surfing? Our Sayulita or La Lancha lessons are a better fit.
Minimum of 4 surfers per booking.
Payment
A $1,000 MXN deposit per person confirms your spot. This covers the boat and guides we reserve for your group.
The balance is paid online 48 hours before the trip.

Marea Surf School

Marea Surf School started in 2015 with an umbrella, four surfboards and a love for sharing the waves. Today we’re a small surf school in Sayulita with our own shop on Calle Pelícanos and a crew of local instructors who know every break around.
We keep groups small, with a maximum of 4 surfers per instructor, so you get real coaching instead of just a push into the whitewater. You can learn right in town at Sayulita Beach, or ride our open-top truck to La Lancha, a jungle beach near Punta de Mita with fewer crowds.
First-timers, families and surfers who want to level up are all welcome. Come surf with us, and the ocean decides the rest.
