About your trip

Finally, in-person Yoga! Escape from busy city life to the quiet, serene, Sierra Nevada foothills for the Yosemite Restore Retreat. Our retreat getaway will be at the Yosemite Bug, a rustic cabin resort, perched along the hillside, just 25 miles from the iconic Yosemite National Park and surrounded by nature.

Your Restore experience will include Elemental Yoga, Meditation, Yoga Nidra, Restorative Yoga, breathing techniques, sound bath, and spa passes. There will be plenty of free time to go to the park, hike around the property, lounge at the river (seasonal), or unwind and detox in the natural hot tub and sauna in the evenings. Enjoy the amazing world class meals that are an experience in it's self. All food is chef prepared with locally sourced ingredients and veggies from the garden when in season. Meet new friends or take time to yourself.

Beginners Welcome!!

Accommodation

The Yosemite Bug Rustic Mountain Resort is a very unique place. It attracts adventurous nature lovers and international travelers. Nestled on a hillside, the Bug has cabins, tent cabins,  and hostel dorms scattered around the property, so be prepared to do a bit of walking. Each cabin has a uniquely themed decor ranging from western to retro. You never know what you're going to get. The Bug hosts groups and individuals and has a lot going on. It is not a retreat center, so expect other people to be around and a lively atmosphere. It is completely set in nature and there are trails and many places around the property for peace and contemplation. It reminds me of an adult summer camp with amazing food, awesome spa amenities, and friendly staff.

Spa and Yoga Room

The spa and yoga room is a beautiful relaxing oasis. There's a chemical free hot tub, sauna, tea bar, and cold rainwater shower.  There are massages and private soaks available at an extra cost.

* The Spas public hours are from 7pm to 9:45pm due to Covid.

*We will most likely use the Bodhi room instead of the the Yoga room, to allow for social distancing. It's not as pretty but it's huge.

The yoga room has all props available. Some of the mats are a little worn, so bringing your own mat would be a good idea.

Visiting Yosemite National Park

Yosemite National Park is 26 miles away which takes about an hour to drive. Keep that in mind if you want to make it back for the evening session. Park entrance fees are $33/ per car for 3 consecutive days. Reservations are required due to limited park entrance. They book up fast so don't leave it to the last minute. You can also book a seat on the Yarts bus which picks up at the Bug near the main Hwy. Entrance fee is included in ticket.

If you will be only visiting the park for 1 day, Sunday will be the best day. Our evening session will begin at 6pm so there's plenty of time to explore Yosemite.
