This world-renowned and continuously imitated festival has come to define autumn in Germany - experiencing these festivities where it originated is truly a once in a lifetime opportunity. Get caught up in a whirlwind of singing, dancing, costumes, and traditional brass bands enjoyed by thousands of guests from around the world at this larger-than-life festival.

Experience the best of Bavarian beer culture as we tour the fairgrounds, or "Wiesn" as locals call it. Enjoy skip-the-line entry into the festival with your guide to explore the historic Theresienwiese and gain insight into Bavaria’s rich brewing heritage, then take your seat inside one of the major beer tents – to join in on the festivities. 

Each tent has its own unique atmosphere, which you will get to experience with table reservations on two different days. Savor a traditional Bavarian lunch and swill as many steins of beer as you wish! Afterward — when the party ramps up — drink and dance as Bavarian music fills the tent. Not a big beer drinker? There are other options, including a Prosecco tent!

Combining several non-Oktoberfest activities with this amazing party provides you the opportunity to experience the area outside the fairgrounds with the freedom to explore some on your own. Your Bavarian adventure begins when you are greeted at the airport by local tour staff and transferred via motor coach to your hotel – which is located in a super convenient and bustling part of Munich. 

Your local guide will walk you around the area so you can check out the Theresienwiese, Marienplatz, and other great sites. Now that you have your bearings, you have sometime on your own…might be a good time to pick-up your dirndl or lederhosen if you are renting them.

Then…jump right into the local culture with a hearty traditional Bavarian meal at a beer tent on festival grounds (included). You’ll get to know your fellow travelers and have an introduction to the local beer and food! Prost! 

Remainder of the day/evening on own to explore the festival grounds! From the carnival rides to German handicrafts to the amazing food and drink, you’ll find plenty to keep you entertained.

After a delicious German breakfast buffet at your hotel, you will climb aboard your motor coach for your day trip to the Neuschwanstein Castle in the Bavarian Alps - one of the most popular destinations in all of Germany. Often known as Germany’s "Cinderella Castle", Neuschwanstein was the inspiration for a different Disney story, the ‘Sleeping Beauty’ castle at Disneyland. 

Take a guided tour of the castle built by King Ludwig II of Bavaria - created out of pure fantasy dreamed up by the young king. A relatively young castle built in the mid-1800s, the Romanesque Revival style as an homage to Richard Wagner. Hear stories about the "Mad" King Ludwig II, who commissioned it. 

Skip-the-line access is included, so you won’t wait in the main admission queue. Everything will be organized for you - from transportation to tours.

 Once you have fueled up at the hotel’s breakfast buffet, you’ll enjoy the beautiful fall weather and all of Munich’s most famous sites on this leisurely bike tour. With flat roads and dedicated bike lanes, Munich is best seen on two wheels. This fun, interesting and entertaining tour is the best way to get to know the city. 

“How intense is the Bike Tour?” On a scale of 1 to 10, with 10 being really intense, this is a 2. If you can ride a bike, you can do the bike tour. On the flip side, you must be able to ride a bike in order to do the tour. While sometimes skeptical at first, almost everyone loves the bike tour by the end. 

The breezy carefree riding through the English Garden and cobblestone alleyways of Munich is a magical experience. All the while, your guide gives you historical and present-day stories of the surroundings. Photo-ops abound as you wind your way through this amazing city.

Your bike tour includes stops at the most emblematic buildings of the city of Munich. Did you know Napoleon had a role in Munich's history? You will learn all about how he impacted our city at the magnificent Max Joseph Platz, talk about our first King, and introduce you to the expansive and beautiful Residenz. You'll then roll over to an interesting and history-heavy stop at the stunning Odeonsplatz, where you will learn about Munich's role in WWII. Up next is a ride through the majestic Hofgarten as you make our way to the enigmatic Staatskanzlerei. 

From there, your guides will take you to their happy place: the gorgeous English Garden, home of the second-largest beer garden in the world, The Chinese Tower.  You will be given ample time to gorge yourself on the best cuisine Munich has to offer under the blue and white Bavarian sky along with a nice cold drink in your hand!

After lunch (on own), you will pedal over to one of the coolest highlights of the city. A surprise, hint (spoiler alert) - it has to do with a wave, a surfboard and wetsuits. You will also receive tons of tips and useful information regarding the Oktoberfest. Where to go, how to get there and things to look after. 

After the tour, you can spend the rest of the afternoon in downtown Munich, exploring the many shops, museums, and parks that the city has to offer. Or, you may want to return to the hotel to ‘rest-up’ for this evening’s activities.

This evening, there is a beer tent seat with your name on it. We’ll get you inside one of Oktoberfest’s largest beer tents for live music, merry-making and, of course, beer! Your reservation includes two beers and a meal.

After a delicious buffet breakfast and depending upon your flight time, make one last visit to the festival grounds, buy any last-minute souvenirs, and swap contact info with your new friends before you board your airport shuttle.
