ARRIVE IN ACCRA
● Upon arrival at Ghana airport, go through customs and proceed to the arrivals hall where you will meet your program guide/coordinator. Guide/coordinator will remain with your group until departure on November 15th
● Transfer by private vehicle to hotel at a pre-determined meeting time (if arriving outside of group transfer window, you are responsible for getting to the hotel on your own)
● Check-in (or drop bags at reception until guaranteed check-in time)
● Late evening snack or light dinner at the hotel (pending participants’ arrival times, likely later in the evening or night)
Overnight at La Villa Boutique or similar
● Breakfast at hotel
● After breakfast, meet your guide/coordinator and head out on a walking tour of Accra's old neighborhood (Jamestown); discover the rich history and culture of one of Accra's oldest neighborhoods and marvel at vibrant street art and murals that tell the stories of the local community
● Group lunch at local restaurant
● After lunch, visit some renowned Art Galleries and a Q&A discussion with a local artist (TBD, pending availability)
● Head back to the hotel for some time to rest and enjoy the hotel pool
● Group dinner at local restaurant
● After dinner, hear some live music at a local spot (pending availability)
● Overnight at La Villa Boutique or similar
● Breakfast at hotel, followed by check-out
● Meet your guide/coordinator and travel to Atimpoku via private coach (~2 hours)
● Group lunch at local restaurant
● In the afternoon, visit Global Mamas in Akuse: go on a walking tour of their center, learn about their sustainable architecture choices, and enjoy a demonstration of resourceful fashion and crafts design using the invasive water hyacinth plant
● Transfer to your hotel and check-in
● Evening free to relax and enjoy the pool
● Group dinner at the hotel
● Overnight at the Senchi Royal Hotel or similar
● Breakfast at hotel, followed by check-out
● Travel to Koforidua via private coach (~3 hours)
● Visit the Glass Beads Industry at Cedi Beads and engage in a hands-on workshop to learn the intricate process of making beautiful glass beads
● Group lunch at local restaurant
● After lunch, explore the Historical Sites in the Akuapem Hills: immerse yourself in traditional shrines in Larteh, followed by the artworks and gallery of Kofi Setordji, a renowned Ghanaian artist; if his schedule allows, meet with Kofi to have a Q&A discussion about his work (TBD)
● Transfer to hotel and check-in
● Time to rest and refresh before dinner
● Group dinner at local restaurant
● Overnight at The Beacon hotel or similar
● Breakfast at hotel, followed by check-out
● After breakfast, visit the Chocolate Factory of Fair Afrique Participate and immerse yourself on a farm-to-factory tour, followed by a hands-on chocolate-making workshop
● Enjoy a scenic drive to Elmina (~5 hours)
● Stop midway for a group lunch at local restaurant
● At the end of the drive, stop at a quiet beach to stretch your legs, get some fresh air and put your feet in the Atlantic ocean
● Head to your hotel and check-in
● Evening free to relax and enjoy the pool

● Overnight at Golden Hillparker Hotel or similar

● Early in the morning (before the heat of day), take a walking tour of Elmina Castle and learn about its historical significance
● Explore colonial remains, forts, and other historical sites in the area
● Group lunch at local restaurant
● After breakfast, participate on a hands-on workshop of Cooking and Batik Workshop with Global Mamas to learn traditional cooking and batik techniques
● After the workshop, enjoy a lively traditional dance workshop on the beach, learning traditional Ghanaian dance moves
● Group dinner included with beach dance workshop
● Overnight at Golden Hillparker Hotel or similar
● Breakfast at hotel, followed by check-out
● Head to Kakum National Park to explore the lush rainforest and experience the famous canopy walkway
● Afterwards, visit Cape Coast Castle and learn about its historical role in the trans-Atlantic slave trade
● Group lunch at local restaurant
● Travel to Accra (~3 hours)
● Visit the Ga Coffin Workshop to experience the creativity of the “fantasy coffins” crafted by skilled artisans in Accra
● Transfer to your hotel and check-in
