Remote Mountain Jungle Trek

Start the day with a tuk tuk ride and vehicle transfer to the Tiger Trail Adventure Camp, where you will cross the Nam Khan River by boat and begin the day’s trek.

Throughout the hike you will encounter various terrains from rice paddies to limestone grottos and rocky slopes. You will also experience different ways of local living, customs and people in the villages you visit, starting from Ban Houay Fai, followed by lunch at Ban Tinpha, then ending at the riverside village, Ban Houay Yen.

Hop back onto the boat for a beautiful stretch of Nam Khan, with a stop at Tad Sae Waterfall* to soak and relax after your day of trekking. You will then return to Luang Prabang by boat and vehicle, followed by a tuk tuk ride back to your hotel.

The total hike distance is about 12km (7.5mi) taking 4-5 hours through 300-900m of forest and farmland.

*During February to July (low water season) the Tad Sae Waterfall can be very dry and may be omitted from the itinerary.
