About your trip

MenoMagick Retreat - Understanding Menopause, Identity, and Spirituality through Yoga and Transformational Inner Work

Please join me at my MenoMagick Yoga Retreat in the beautiful mountains of Topanga, CA!

This very special long weekend is designed to empower women who are navigating the complexities and opportunities of perimenopause and menopause.

Menopause can be a wildly transformative phase in a woman’s life, often characterized by a range of physical, mental, and emotional changes. Despite its universality, stigma, societal constructs, and internalized shame often force us to face these challenges in silence and isolation.

It’s time for a change!

Let’s normalize the menopause experience, get educated, do our deep inner work to transform limiting beliefs, and step boldly into the wisdom and empowerment that age and experience bring.

This intimate and soulful retreat is designed to support and empower you through every stage of menopause, from perimenopause to postmenopause. Discover how this transitional period can be a catalyst for self-discovery, radical self-acceptance, and spiritual growth.

During our time, we will use embodied practices to reconnect and embrace our changing bodies and reflect on themes such as identity, age, and attachments and how menopause can be a powerful process for introspection and growth. This period of reflection allows us to confront and release outdated beliefs and societal constructs, opening the door to a deeper understanding of who we truly are, who we are evolving to be, and the roles we want to play going forward in our one precious life.

MenoMagick is not just about managing menopause—it's about transforming your experience into something magickal and spiritually transcendent!

Through specially designed ceremonies, we will transform the experience of aging into a sacred, empowering initiation, opening us to the Mystery and connecting us with Spirit in a way that only age and experience can.

Let’s embrace this significant life transition with strength, humor, resilience, and inner peace. Whether you’re just beginning perimenopause or have transitioned into postmenopause, my MenoMagick yoga retreat will support you in navigating this journey with greater understanding, agency, acceptance, and joy.

Things to know

📍 Address to the property will be given the week before the retreat starts.

👉  Substance-free retreat

A substance-free environment is one in which all guests agree to keep their space free from substances at all times. Substances are defined to include alcohol, cigarettes, other smoking materials, and illicit and illegal drugs.

👉  Like adult summer camp - We're all in it together!

This is not a retreat center. The property is a private house on 9 acres with "glamping" style cabins and rooms throughout the property. Every room on the property will have shared bathrooms. Meals will be "family style," where we serve ourselves and assist the chef with rinsing our dishes and preparing them for sanitizing after meals.

👉  Close shared spaces

This is a very communal retreat with shared bedrooms and shared bathrooms. Some beds may only be 3 feet apart from each other. If, for any reason, you do not feel safe being in such close quarters with other guests due to concerns about Covid-19,  it's best not to join this trip and wait until a time that feels best for you.

Cancellation Policy

Due to the exclusive offering of this retreat to Seane's mail list and the lead time to fill your spot. It makes it difficult for us to react to last-minute cancellations after the eblast has been sent out.

Because of this, we must enforce a FIRM cancellation policy.

Terms:

👉 If you need to cancel more than 30 days before the start of the retreat, there will be a $500 processing fee (your deposit), and the remaining balance will be refunded to your card.

👉 If you need to cancel 15-30 days before the start of the retreat, you will receive a 50% refund of the full cost of your spot.

👉 If you need to cancel 0-14 days before the start of the retreat, you will receive no refunds.

In addition, in the event of fires in Topanga or COVID-19, we may need to reschedule this retreat. If so, we will refund you for your full amount minus any losses we may incur due to unforeseen circumstances that are out of our control. It is in our best interest to refund you in this type of situation. We cannot be responsible for any losses with airfare, transportation, or any other additional costs incurred during the planning of your trip.

🚨Travel insurance is STRONGLY advised to cover you for any unexpected circumstances.

🚨There are no exceptions with our cancellation policy due to the contractual commitments

we have with our vendors. Unfortunately, we are not able to credit towards future offerings or transfer amounts towards online classes.

🤎 We appreciate your understanding of our cancellation policies 🤎

Getting to Topanga

Getting to the property…

The address is released the week before the retreat starts.

LAX Airport is approximately 25 miles from the property

Burbank Airport is about 27 miles from the property.

The drive from each airport can take about 45min depending on traffic conditions. It is Los Angeles, where traffic can be at any time of the day. So please plan accordingly.

A car can be convenient while in Topanga for the week but unnecessary. There always seems to be the right number of people with vehicles willing to arrange for groups to go into town or on hikes. Many people arrange to carpool to and from the airport via our FB group. This is how a lot of friendships are made!

If you prefer more freedom and/or solitude while traveling, get a car. There will be lots of parking available on the property.

Cabs, Lyft, and Uber will all take you to the property.

We ask that guests do not arrive any earlier than 3pm. This is a request from the property manager.

There are many things to do in Topanga if you need to kill some time, and the property is a 10-minute drive from the main town. Once you register, you will receive a digital packet of things to do in the area.

Email jessica@seanecorn.com if you have questions about arranging your travel plans.

On your way home…

Going from the property to the airport can take longer, and we suggest giving yourself at least 1 hour - 1.5 hours for drive time to be safe. If you have a rental car, give yourself some extra time.

If you’re booking a pick-up, please schedule the car beforehand since a lot of car services do not pick up in that area.

The last class ends at 11am, and brunch is at 11:30am on Sunday. Check-out is at 12pm.

Alchemy of Self: The Interdependency of the Body and Mind

Today’s vinyasa flow invites us into a deep exploration of the interconnectedness of the mind and body. This dynamic, full-body practice will emphasize the pelvis, hips, and womb, the sacred centers of feminine power. As we move, we’ll reflect on societal constructs, taboos, and limiting beliefs that shape our experiences of physical change, emotional imbalance, and sexuality. Together, we’ll confront and dissolve our attachments to outdated identities and self-perceptions, transmuting them into new forms of self-expression and empowerment.

Transmuting Identity: Reclaiming Power

In the sacred space of my yoga yurt, we’ll delve into the profound work of reclaiming our power. This session is dedicated to cutting the cords of attachment and stepping into the wisdom that comes with age and experience. We’ll explore how the principles of yoga philosophy, particularly the 8 limbs, can guide us through the aging process, offering clarity, a deeper relationship with the Divine, and a clear path toward our purpose. This practice is about stepping into our power, embracing wisdom, and aligning with our true purpose.

8:30 AM - 11:00 AM

Crossing the Threshold: A Sacred Ceremony of Transformation

Our final gathering is a powerful ceremonial practice that calls upon the four directions and the elements, inviting them to witness and guide our transformation. We’ll move with intention, embodying the grace and strength of our journey. Through meditation, breathwork, and prayer, we’ll direct our energy towards continued healing and growth, offering prayers for ourselves and the world around us. This ritual is a celebration of Spirit within, a redefinition of the feminine, and a preparation of the psyche for the profound work of Self that can only be realized through the wisdom of experience, age, and maturity.
