Trip Protection

IL VIAGGIO TRAVEL has civil responsibility insurance but declines any responsibility for personal accidents. We strongly recommend buying an international travel insurance policy.

Your guide will meet you there and take you to your hotel in the middle of the cloud forest located around 1 ½ hours away from the hotel. Upon arrival, your guide will help with the check in, then he will deliver the Welcome Kit and review with you the itinerary. Then, you will have some time to rest (depending on arrival) 

Around 6:00pm get ready for a fabulous night tour! Exploring the San Ramón cloud forest at night is one of the most incredible adventures you can do in Costa Rica. When the moon rises, it is transformed like no other habitat in the world, full of fragrances of nocturnal flowers, and of nature's most spectacular symphony.

This night tour makes you experience Costa Rica in a unique way. Have the opportunity to take night photography and be in close contact with some of the most colourful and fascinating creatures that can be found anywhere in the world. 

Lodging at the Cloud Forest
 

Early morning birdwatching tour. Walk around with your head in the clouds as you step into the sanctuary of the cloud forest with you own Guide who will unveil a secret world of rich tropical life along user-friendly trails located right on the hotel property. 

After breakfast, check out and private transfer to Maquenque area. 

Lodging in Maquenque 

Day to explore the area and get into the rain forest with your local expert. First, you will enjoy of a total natural guided walk through the rainforest. You will depart to the tropical rainforest within the hotel´s property, in where we will begin a trek of 3 km (about 2.5 hrs.), during this tour it is possible to observe a great variety flora and fauna in the area, while your Naturalist Guide explains everything around. After that, Enjoy the tranquility of the rainforest traveling to the river by kayak. Here we can see the richness of flora and fauna, and you can discover exotic animals like a crocodiles, tortoise, iguanas, monkeys, waterfowl and more. During this tour, our naturalist guides will explain how to paddle and some safety regulations, in addition, he or she will give you interesting information about the region and the species that you have seen.

Check out and private transfer with your local expert from Maquenque to Tenorio. Located in northern Costa Rica, the Tenorio Volcano National Park is one of the country's youngest parks. Taking its name from the Tenorio Volcano, this national park boasts stunning river views and plenty of opportunities for wildlife adventures. The park was created in 1995 to protect the Tenorio Volcano, which is still active today. The park features four different life zones as well as the beautiful aqua-hued Rio Celeste.

Your lodging for this night will be located in the middle of the forest. A very private but still very close to the community. There’s so much to see and do around the farm and village itself – hiking, bird watching and horseback riding – you can have the full Costa Rican experience right here. 

Lodging at Bijagua or Tenorio area

Today you will explore one of the most beautiful places in Costa Rica and the world. According to
Local Legends says “When God finished painting the sky, he washed his brushes in the river that now bears the name Rio Celeste.” Rio Celeste is a right blue river named after the color of its water caused by dissolved minerals at the confluence of two small rivers. Rio Celeste is located in the Volcano Tenorio national park is about 11km from Casitas Tenorio. The trail is about 7km in total. After 1.5km you will pass the descent to the impressive waterfall. 

Your guide will be available for you to in case that you want to visit local attractions, have dinner in local restaurants or just chill in your hotel 

Lodging at Bijagua or Tenorio area

Breakfast included. This would be your last day in Costa Rica, your guide will pick you up at the hotel at the agreed time. Then he will take you to the airport, the drive is for about 3-4 hours. Please note that you must be at the airport 3 hours before your flight and the one you need to obtain your departure taxes are $ 29usd per person and can be purchased at the airport.
