The Lost City Colombia Tour is one of the most important treks to do in South America, on tour you will visit the secrets of La Sierra Nevada surrounded by outstanding jungle and appreciate countless landscapes, lush vegetation, archaeological sites and wildlife. Just Keep in mind that is necessary to have a good physical condition since the walks are of 7 to 8 hours daily. At this tour you should expect to sleep on bunk beds or hammocks in all camp locations, there are not rooms available for upgrades.

It is time to get ready for one of the most incredible and amazing hikes over all South America, it is a hidden place in the middle of La Sierra Nevada mountain range.
This is a hard and excited hike, where you will visit remote areas surrounded by just primary forest and local communities.
On this day we will drive you towards El Mamey Village where we will serve lunch and get energy to start the first hike up to Alfredo´s Camp Site. It will be 12 kms approx. ( 6.5 miles ) upon arrival you will get your bed ( by the way this type of Camp sites in this area are very basic divided in the same big room a lot of bunk beds with mosquito nets each one. It is not going to be a normal hotel during the hike to the Lost City, so get prepared to live this unique experience).

At 4:30 am, it is time to wake up and pack before breakfast. This day you will hike longer than before, splitted in two parts. First it is going to be 7 Kms (4 miles approx.) up to a Wiwa Camp, where you will rest for a bit a have lunch.
Then is going to a hike up to reach the highgest point of the day (it is hard but you can do it!!) , then we will continue towards El Paraiso (10 kms or 6 miles approx.) Camp to rest and spend the night (this one is also a basic place , where you will sleep , I am sure after this day hike you will feel ready for bed right after dinner.

5:00 am starting with breakfast , but you wont have to pack right away because on this day we will take you visit the Lost City which is very close from the Camp site , so you only need the hiking gear , camera and more energy to climb over 1200 steps that are guarding this Archeological Complex!!!.
You will be one of the first to visit the place, where you can enjoy and admire the sacred place and enchanted by the Indian and their ancestors for more than 700 years.
You will have time to take the best pictures , ususally in the morning the wheather is very good and sunny, perfect for this propose.
We will take you on a guided tour around many sites at the complex and finally we will return back to the Camp for lunch , packing , shower and start our way back to a Wiwa Camp for the night.

Happy morning!! but early to start our final way back towards El Mamey village ( 15 Kms. or 10 miles ), here we will serve lunch and finally we will take you back to Santa Marta City for overnight ( this day is a great combination between basic to comfort, I guess you will need and deserve it!!! )
