Who is the well rested woman?
Join us so you can meet her and find out.
For women who have made the choices:
to lose track of time so they can actually rest,
to spend the days reading books and writing words while being immersed in the expansive beauty and nature of Costa Rica.
Each luxurious, tropical day offers silence and stillness, movement and flow, space and time for reading and writing, and definitely ample time for sweet pockets of rest (as in nap time, literally) built into the schedule. Each day will also include movement sessions called Presence In Motion, an emboided fusion of journaling and dance, with Oge.
Hosted by author/writer/speaker Tina Strawn of Legacy Trips, this intimate, all-inclusive retreat offers a sacred space to read, write, and rest in the heart of lush Costa Rica.
💝 Friday: The Ceremony of Peace
Arrival + grounding circle + nourishing welcome dinner + release/peace ceremony
💘 Saturday + Sunday: The Technology of Play
These days are filled with blocks of time for what matters most during this experience: reading, writing, and resting.
💖 Monday: The Constitution of Joy
Dance flow and journal prompts set the tone for the day's theme.
💗 Tuesday: The Declaration of Pleasure
Audre Lorde's Use of the Erotic will serve as our guiding text into deeper awareness of how the erotic is present and how to invite more pleasure into our everyday lives.
💟 Wednesday: The Embodiment of Rest
Depart having completed the curriculum and commitment to our own portals of rest as a part of our self love ritual as we head to our home sanctuaries.
This retreat is perfect for the woman who values self paced programming and is tired of over scheduling and a calendar too full to be fully present. This is your time for you with limitless space and opportunity for what your heart and body need most. Optional writing/reading prompts and projects are available for those who want their retreat to be more guided.
This retreat is an exclusive offering with very limited space.

Meet The Facilitators
Oge Emetarom (she/her) is a multidisciplinary artist, intuitive guide, entrepreneur and former birthworker whose work centers presence, embodiment, and transformation through lived experience.
Born in Nigeria and based between Brooklyn and Costa Rica, Oge has spent over a decade holding people through profound thresholds of change. She founded Your Baby Your Birth in New York City, supporting childbirth education, maternal advocacy, and labor and birth support. This work refined her capacity for deep listening, attunement, and steadiness in moments of uncertainty. After closing her practice, her approach evolved into a more holistic and spacious way of guiding others—rooted in presence.
Her path into embodiment was catalyzed in 2017 during a 10-day silent meditation retreat in India, initiating a lifelong devotion to stillness, movement, and inner authority. Since then, she has worked across wellness, real estate, fashion, media, and hospitality; managed and performed on major stages; created content across platforms; and traveled to over 20 countries—each chapter sharpening her understanding of transition, creativity, and self-trust.
Oge’s work weaves movement, music, and awareness. As a dancer and an open-format/world music DJ rooted in Afro-diasporic sounds, she treats music as medicine—using rhythm, vibration, and intentional sound to evoke feeling, healing, and embodied clarity. Her eclectic palate spans highlife, reggae, soca, kompa, hip hop, R&B, and global influences, informing her ability to curate spaces that return people to their bodies and their truth.
Her work centers integrity, empowerment, and connection, with a focus on self-mastery, leadership, transitions, relationships, and authentic expression. She supports creatives, leaders, and multi-gifted individuals who are releasing old roles and learning to lead and create from within.
This trip is for all women who see and honor themselves as enthusiastic readers and passionate writers seeking spaces cultivated for journal writing, hammock lounging, page turning, and sweet naps, who also enjoys the occasional and optional side quest. Must be at least 18 and have a valid US passport. Travel insurance is highly recommended.
