About your trip

From the lush Amazonian rainforests to the high Andean Páramos, Ecuador is indeed a special place, boasting good access to birding and other wildlife habitat, unsurpassed scenic splendor, friendly people, and welcoming mega biodiverse country. Incredibly, over 1,700 species of birds have been recorded in the country, more than 4,500 species of orchids, in an area smaller than the state of Colorado, or just about the size of the UK!

Among them are many of the most spectacular and distinctive Neotropical species. “Ecuador: From the Andes at latitude 0º to the Amazon Eastern Slope of the Andes” is designed to sample this magnificent avifauna and wildlife in very different elevations and habitats, representing unique ecosystems, and offering a full range of birding and wildlife possibilities. This trip explores the heart of the magnificent Ecuadorian Andes, the Cloud Forests of the Amazon and finishing with a few days birding the Pacific Cloud Forest
