About your trip

A Sanctuary Nestled in Morocco’s Rose Valley, With Endless Views of the Atlas Mountains — Your Opening Begins

A rare kind of pause — long enough to soften, spacious enough to listen.
Just beyond Marrakech, in a hilltop kasbah overlooking the Ourika Valley, this retreat unfolds as a week shaped by beauty, presence, and what naturally opens when time slows.

Set high in the Atlas Mountains, surrounded by gardens, river valleys, and snow-capped peaks, this Rare Method retreat invites you to step out of momentum and into rhythm. Just beyond the pulse of Marrakech, time slows. The air shifts. The body listens more closely.

This is a gathering designed for those ready to pause, recalibrate, and reconnect — not by doing more, but by creating space for what’s already within you to surface.

Step Into Your Opening

Rose Season in the Atlas Mountains

The Opening unfolds during Morocco’s Rose Season — a fleeting window when the valley is alive with fragrance, colour, and quiet ritual. At this time of year, the land itself feels receptive and alive, inviting a softer pace and a deeper attunement.

Timed intentionally, this retreat is less about seeking change and more about creating the conditions for something honest to emerge. The mountains, gardens, and rhythm of daily life here offer a natural invitation to slow, soften, and listen — allowing what’s ready to open to do so in its own time.

Here, nature isn’t a backdrop — it’s an active participant. The mountains hold you. The gardens restore you. The rhythm of the valley invites a deeper exhale.

Enter the Experience

The Location

Perched on a hilltop at the apex of the Ourika Valley, Kasbah Bab Ourika is a rare blend of understated luxury, ecological integrity, and deep connection to place. With 360-degree panoramic views, the kasbah looks out over rivers, olive and citrus groves, and up toward the snow-dusted peaks of the High Atlas Mountains.

This is not a conventional luxury hotel — it’s an experience rooted in warm Berber hospitality, thoughtful design, and reverence for the land. Rammed-earth walls, natural materials, and handcrafted details create spaces that feel grounded, soulful, and quietly exquisite.

Paths wind through lush gardens scented with jasmine and bougainvillea. A secluded pool rests among orange trees. Sunlight stretches long into golden evenings, ending each day with spectacular sunsets and star-filled skies.

Peace, beauty, and presence are woven into every detail.

Culture of Cuisine

Cuisine at Kasbah Bab Ourika is rooted in reverence for the land and a genuine passion for quality ingredients. Meals are prepared using the freshest organic produce sourced directly from the kasbah’s own kitchen gardens and nearby valley markets — resulting in food that is vibrant, grounding, and deeply nourishing.

Menus reflect both season and place, offering a thoughtful balance of Moroccan tradition and European influence. Days begin with healthy, satisfying breakfasts; lunches are light and fresh, often enjoyed poolside; and evenings unfold with intimate, beautifully prepared dinners that highlight Bab Ourika’s signature dishes.

Your Invitation to Open

The Opening is for those those who sense something within them ready to shift, soften, or come into clearer view. Not because something is wrong, but because there is room for more ease, more truth, more alignment.

You may be arriving from a full season, a transitional chapter, or a quiet inner nudge you can’t quite name yet. This experience isn’t about fixing or striving — it’s about creating the conditions for listening, for presence, and for what’s ready to emerge.

If you’re drawn to slowing down, moving with intention, and reconnecting to yourself through place, body, and rhythm — this opening is for you.

Your Opening is Now…

This is an intimate gathering, intentionally held in a place where time slows and attention deepens. Space is limited, and participation is by choice, not pressure. If you feel a quiet yes as you read — a sense of curiosity, resonance, or readiness — trust that signal. Sometimes the most meaningful shifts begin not with certainty, but with an opening

A Promise of Luxury

Understated Luxury – Space to Open

Luxury here is not excess — it’s space. Space to rest, to be well cared for, and to let your system downshift fully.

From the warmth of Berber hospitality to the beauty of handcrafted interiors, every element of The Opening is curated to support ease, comfort, and presence. Individually designed rooms, panoramic views, thoughtful cuisine, and moments of quiet indulgence create an environment where your system can truly downshift.

Optional spa offerings — including traditional hammam rituals and massage treatments using locally sourced botanicals — are available for those wishing to deepen their rest.

This is a week designed to feel spacious, held, and quietly transformative — the kind of experience that lingers long after you return home.

ACCOMMODATIONS

Earthy, soulful, and refined.

Accommodations at Kasbah Bab Ourika reflect a deep respect for nature, craftsmanship, and Moroccan heritage.

Each room and suite is individually decorated, featuring natural materials, sumptuous textiles, and authentic design details — many with private terraces and panoramic views of the valley and mountains beyond. Thick rammed-earth walls naturally regulate temperature, creating a sense of grounded comfort throughout the day and night.

Surrounded by gardens, birdsong, and fresh mountain air, your room becomes a personal sanctuary — a place to rest, reflect, and restore between sessions.

What the Days Will Feel Like

Arrive. Settle. Reconnect.

Each day unfolds with a balance of structure and spaciousness — enough rhythm to feel held, enough freedom to follow what you need.

Mornings begin with the Rare Method™ practice, guided by founder Randelle Lusk. Rooted in flow yoga and informed by somatic awareness, these sessions invite you to listen inward, move instinctually, and reconnect with the body as a source of clarity and truth. Expect a blend of breath-led movement, sensation-based exploration, and intentional pause — designed to meet you exactly where you are.

Midday offers time to nourish, wander, and rest. Chef-prepared meals draw from the kasbah’s organic vegetable gardens and the surrounding valley, celebrating local, seasonal ingredients. Between meals, you might lounge by the pool, stroll the gardens, journal on your terrace, or simply take in the view.

Afternoons gather the group for guided self-inquiry and intentional conversation. These sessions vary day to day and may include reflective prompts, small-group dialogue, or facilitated sharing — creating space to integrate insights, hear yourself more clearly, and feel the quiet power of being witnessed.

Evenings soften. The pace slows. Some nights invite gentle movement, breathwork, or meditation; others are left open for rest, connection, and starlit stillness.

Nothing is forced. Everything is invitational.

The Rhythm of Opening

Each day on retreat unfolds with a balance of structure and spaciousness — enough rhythm to feel held, enough freedom to follow what you need.

DAILY RARE METHOD™ MOVEMENT.

Begin each day with somatic-informed movement guided by host Randelle Lusk. Rooted in flow yoga and informed by somatic awareness, these sessions invite you to listen inward, move instinctually, these sessions invite you to listen inward, soften unnecessary effort, and move in a way that feels responsive rather than prescribed.

Each day builds quietly upon the last — not through intensity, but through presence. Over time, an opening emerges.

Whole System Nourishment

With space to be, our retreats offer time to nourish, wander, and rest. Chef-prepared meals draw from the kasbah’s organic vegetable gardens and the surrounding valley, celebrating local, seasonal ingredients. Between meals, you might lounge by the pool, stroll the gardens, journal on your terrace, or simply take in the view.

GROUP GATHERINGS FOR INTENTIONAL CONNECTION.

Daily we gather the group for guided self-inquiry, intentional conversation and practices to support your embodiment. These sessions vary day to day and may include reflective prompts, small-group dialogue, meditation or facilitated sharing — creating space to integrate insights, hear yourself more clearly, and feel the quiet power of being witnessed.
