This 2 week program includes 40-hours of Spanish Instruction (20-hours per week) along with living with a local family in our Homestay Program. If you'd like to learn a lot of Spanish in a relatively short amount of time then this is an excellent option. Students will be placed in Spanish classes according to their placement test and then be placed with a local family where you will have your own room and shared common areas.
Families are located in the nearby villages in Nosara, Playa Garza and Esperanza. Host family students are given a private room as well as half board (daily breakfast and dinner) and laundry service is included in the price of the host family. Families are hand selected by the accommodation staff and are very accustomed to hosting students from around the world. Students should be prepared to live in simpler and more rustic homes than at home. If that doesn’t bother you, then you will be rewarded with a memorable experience and some new Tico friends. Please indicate any allergies or special needs.
Check in for your Homestay is on Sunday and check out is Sunday.

Class times will be from 8-1140am or 1-440pm depending on our level spread and amount of students for any given week. **Please note that we are unable to guarantee specific time slots due to the fluctuating levels that we recieve each week but we will do our best to match any preferences.**
At NSI we use a communicative teaching methodology, where the main goal is the improvement of the students' communication skills, encouraging spontaneous and creative use of the language, using real communicative situations and activities that teach Spanish in the way we really use it.

Living with a local family is an amazing experience, both culturally and linguistically. Students are offered a private bedroom and daily breakfast and dinner. If you want to take your Spanish to the next level then our 2 week Spanish + Homestay Program is an excellent choice.
Typical Day:
630am: Breakfast with your family
8am-1140am: Spanish Classes
11:40-6pm: Free time. Students most often surf, yoga, go to lunch, beach, shop, etc
6/7pm: Dinner with your local family
