We are thrilled to offer our first Bainbridge Island retreat at the gorgeous IslandWood education and retreat centre, with our very special guests Andrea Mowry and Rachel Price and Kate Burge-Tibi of Spincycle Yarns.
Learn tapestry loom weaving with Rachel Price, small batch dyeing with Kate Burge-Tibi, and either master your measurements to finally answer the age-old conundrum of which size to knit, or face your fears and take your snips to your knits with an intro to steeking with Andrea Mowry!
Other activities include a trunk show and Q&A with our guest instructors, an evening of s'mores around the fire pit, Show & Tell night, a field trip to La Mercerie, Lamb & Kid, and Churchmouse yarns, optional yoga, guided hikes of the IslandWood property, and of course some exclusive swag and prizes.
IslandWood's sleeping lodges combine the comfort of modern accommodations with the natural rustic beauty of the Northwest. Every lodge has a spacious great room with a fireplace and seating for gathering, game-playing, reading, crafting, and relaxing. All beds on the property are made up with organic cotton bedding for a dreamy nights sleep.
Fully refundable cancellations will be accepted up until September 25th. We will continue to offer fully refundable cancellations after this date if we can fill your spot from the waitlist. If we cannot fill your spot between September 25th and October 25th, you will receive a 50% refund. No refunds will be offered after October 25th.

All meals from Thursday dinner to Sunday breakfast.

Saturday am - optional
Option between a Bird Habitat Hike or a Canopy Tower Hike
Arrivals begin at 5pm, followed by our Welcome Dinner, and then a Q&A and Collaborative Trunk Show with Andrea Mowry and Rachel Price and Kate Burge-Tibi of Spincycle Yarns.
After breakfast, we will enjoy our first workshop followed by lunch. Next, some free time will include the option of guided hikes around the IslandWood acreage or some relaxing knitting time. Our second workshop will then be followed by dinner, and our Show & Tell evening event.
A complimentary (optional) yoga session will start our day, followed by breakfast and our final workshop of the weekend. After lunch we will head off on our field trip to the local Bainbridge Island Yarn shops, La Mercerie, Lamb & Kid and Churchmouse! After our dinner we will have our farewell Friendship Circle around the Fire Pit with s'mores and warm beverages.
After breakfast we will begin the checkout process and say our goodbyes!
