This journey is not just about the places you’ll see—but the people you’ll meet, the stories you’ll hear, and the connections you’ll carry home.

Experience village life up close, try your hand at traditional crafts, and share meals with local families.

Mid-journey, contribute to ethical travel by volunteering at Wildlife SOS, supporting the care and rehabilitation of rescued sloth bears and elephants.

The final days bring you to the peaceful wilderness of Madhya Pradesh, staying at an eco-lodge that blends sustainability with comfort. Enjoy tiger safaris, boat rides, village walks, and heartfelt moments in India’s countryside.

Arrival in New Delhi

 You arrive in the bustling capital city, Delhi. After clearing immigration and collecting your luggage, you’ll be met by a local representative and transferred to your hotel. Take the rest of the day to relax, recover from your journey, and soak in the first impressions of India’s vibrant atmosphere.

Day out in Delhi

 

Begin your day with a guided walking tour through Old Delhi, the historic heart of the capital. Explore the labyrinthine lanes, ancient bazaars, and architectural marvels like Jama Masjid and Chandni Chowk. Experience a rickshaw ride/walk through the bustling streets, and visit a restored haveli and a small museum within Old Delhi to understand the region’s layered history.

For lunch, enjoy authentic North Indian flavors before heading to one of the most prominent Sikh temples. Learn about Langar (community kitchen) and witness the spirit of service and equality.

Churi Ajitgarh

Leave Delhi behind and drive to Churi Ajitgarh, a picturesque village near Mandawa, in the culturally rich Shekhawati region of Rajasthan. Upon arrival, settle into your heritage-style accommodation. In the evening, travel to a nearby historic fort for a Rajasthani dinner—a grand introduction to the regal traditions and warm hospitality of the region.

Exploring Shekhawati Region

 Spend the day exploring Nawalgarh, famed for its beautifully frescoed havelis (mansions), remnants of merchant wealth and art from the 18th and 19th centuries. Visit some of the best-preserved havelis and heritage sites.

Attend a Lac bangle-making workshop—a traditional Rajasthani craft. You’ll witness artisans at work and have the chance to create your own piece.

Holi Hai! Let's Celebrate

Today is the joyous festival of colors, Holi! Join locals and fellow travelers in the jubilant festivities, where streets come alive with vibrant hues of powdered colors and joyous laughter. Dance to lively music, indulge in traditional sweets, and experience the magic of Holi.

Jaipur enroute Bagru Village

 En route to Jaipur, stop in Bagru, a village known for its traditional Dabu printing and indigo dyeing techniques. Meet the Chippa community, artisans who have preserved this eco-friendly craft for generations. Engage in a hands-on workshop where you’ll create your own block-printed fabric.

Continue to Jaipur, the Pink City, and settle into your hotel.

The "Pink City" Jaipur

 

Spend the day soaking in the grandeur of Jaipur’s architecture and royal legacy. Begin with the stunning Amber Fort, a majestic hilltop fort with beautiful motifs, mirrored halls, and sweeping views.

Later, visit the City Palace, and stop for photos at the Jal Mahal (Water Palace).

Free Day in Jaipur

 

Today, visit a local family’s home for a Rajasthani cooking class, where you’ll learn to prepare local dishes. It’s more than a culinary experience—it's a window into domestic life and local customs.

Spend your afternoon at leisure—explore Johari Bazaar, Bapu Bazaar, or the winding lanes around Hawa Mahal. Shop for textiles, jewelry, or simply wander and take in the lively scene.

Day 9

Volunteering Experience Day 1

 Today you drive to the Wildlife SOS centers near Agra. Upon arrival, receive orientations at both the Agra Bear Rescue Facility and the Elephant Conservation and Care Centre. Learn about the incredible work being done to rescue and rehabilitate formerly abused animals. Overnight at volunteer house.

Volunteering Day 2

 Spend the day volunteering at the Sloth Bear Centre, engaging in tasks like food preparation, enrichment activities, or habitat maintenance. This unique experience fosters a connection with wildlife and highlights ethical conservation practices.

Volunteering Day 3

 A second day of volunteering awaits, this time with the rescued elephants. Assist in preparing nutritious meals, and learning about the impacts of captivity and abuse in tourism. End your day with a reflection session with the caretakers. 

Day 12

Agra beyond Taj

 Travel to Agra, home of the iconic Taj Mahal. In the afternoon, enjoy a guided handicraft walk, exploring Agra’s rich legacy of marble inlay, and zardozi embroidery.

In the evening, enjoy a home-hosted dinner at a century old home where women prepare traditional dishes and share stories of their heritage.

The "Taj Mahal" morning

 Rise early for a visit to the Taj Mahal—one of the world’s most beautiful monuments and a symbol of love. After breakfast back at your hotel, explore the Agra Fort, a UNESCO World Heritage site with a storied Mughal past.

The rest of the day is free. Relax at your hotel or explore more of Agra at your own pace.

Train to Khajuraho

 Board a scenic train to Khajuraho, a town famous for its ancient temples and wildlife. Your accommodation, is an eco-resort set on the banks of the Ken River, adjacent to Panna National Park. This peaceful retreat emphasizes sustainability, community engagement, and conservation 

Day 15-17

Experience Rural Khajuraho

 Over the next three days, delve into the natural and cultural landscape of Madhya Pradesh. These days offer a heartfelt connection to India’s heartland—quiet, genuine, and unforgettable.

  • Village walks
  • Boat rides on the Ken River at sunrise or sunset
  • A jeep safari into Panna Tiger Reserve for a chance to see tigers, leopards, and antelope
  • Cooking classes using forest produce and regional ingredients

Day 18

Khajuraho to Delhi

 Fly back to Delhi and check in to your hotel for a final night. Spend your evening reminiscing or squeezing in last-minute shopping at Janpath.
