Queer Nature Retreat
Join us for a joyful weekend of yoga, creativity, and connection for LGBTQ+ folks in the heart of the Black Mountains. Set at the beautifully restored and unapologetically queer Chapel on the Green, this retreat invites you to slow down, tune in, and celebrate queer joy surrounded by nature. Through a mix of indoor and outdoor practices, we’ll explore how wild, rural landscapes can hold space for queer experience, self-discovery, and community. You’ll be lovingly hosted by Graham and Matthew, who will ensure you feel held, nourished, and completely at home.
Throughout the weekend, all activities will be led by Heather and Graham (Gray), with a rich programme including four unique yoga sessions, guided breathwork and meditation, and a creative workshop with artist Tom Marshman exploring queerness in nature. You’ll be nourished with culinary delights from Gray’s husband Matthew, whose seasonal and organic meals are a highlight of the retreat. Optional wild swimming, voicework by candlelight, nature meditations, and a relaxed evening soirée will round out the weekend — with plenty of space for rest, reflection, and exploration. You may even find time to visit nearby Hay-on-Wye, home to the beloved queer bookshop Gay on Wye.
