Depart 9:00am - Begin your exploration of Lake Atitlán by taking the kayaks to paddle through Santa Cruz la Laguna village where you pass by the local Kaqchikel Maya people working in the fields and fishing from their unique wooden boats.

After about an hour you will stop kayaking and enjoy a one hour hike up and across patchwork agricultural fields for wonderful views of the lake and its surrounding volcanoes.

Your trip ends back at Santa Cruz la Laguna from where you return to your hotel. Please note that this is a fairly physical day trip so you do need a good level of fitness to participate.
