Accountability Details

The Accountability service consists of two 50-minute sessions weekly on two different days for six weeks. Sessions may be in-person or virtual as you need.

 

The 50-minute sessions will discuss your unique needs on the program and monitor your progress. This can be done on camera to check your form and technique. You may prefer an audio call, an activity session, a coaching session, or a hybrid combination. In an activity session, prepare a space to move.  


The 3-day workshop sessions will assess your physical condition while developing a training progression. The following accountability sessions keep you on track making progress with mindset and focus. 

What to Expect- A life-changing workout!

The squat, bench press, and deadlift are the three most beneficial strength exercises to learn and practice. Powerlifting is the safest and most effective method of weight training due to the precision technique of progressive loading. At the powerlifting retreat, Betsy took up the squat, bench, and deadlift, known as the big three. These prove to be the most effective exercises providing the best results. If you are willing to put forth the effort, the results come quickly. Your coach, Debra Stefan is the reigning AAU World Powerlifting Overall Female Champion.

Benefits of Powerlifting

Powerlifters increase bone density, balance, posture, metabolism, mood, and sleep. What that means to you is more muscle tone, and less fat. You will see improvements in  the mirror and have a noticeable sense of well-being.

All live-in guests will have access to the common areas on the residence's first floor. This includes access to a full kitchen to choose from host-provided whole foods to prepare meals. The common area has multiple tables, an area with couches, and free Wi-Fi. A laundry room is also available for guests. 


Outside View and Amenities:

Outside is a large patio area and stone deck to view the Vegas Valley and Las Vegas Strip. The backyard accesses a quarter-mile scenic paved trail overlooking the golf course within the private community.


The Fitness retreat accommodations are only available to clients. Rates include room, semi-private personal training, and choice of self-prepared foods provided.

Retreat Meals

Meals and nutrition coaching at the fitness residence are protein-centric focusing on promoting fat loss and sparing metabolic-boosting muscle. Please do not confuse this with traditional calorie counting. Balancing macronutrients,  namely protein, fats, and carbohydrates is effective for general needs and requirements. You will learn to recognize foods as lean proteins, complex carbohydrates, and healthy fats. See a sample menu.


Professional dietitians are not on staff and we do not intend to replace the recommendations of your physician should you have specific issues. Furthermore, this is not an eating disorder, alcohol, or drug treatment center. If you are looking for a place where your food is prepared for you by others, this program is not for you. The number one reason why those types of programs result in client weight gain afterward is because they do not empower you with hands-on food management. Coaching begins with a trip to the grocery store.

Cancellation Policy, Trip Insurance

What are my options if I should need to depart early? Travel insurance for your retreat ensures your investment.  There may be unforeseen events that prompt you to depart early. Such reasons could include:

· death or illness of a family member back home

· an illness, injury, or recurrence of a previous injury

· unforeseen emergency at home requiring you to return

To protect your investment in committing to attend the retreat, we highly recommend AIG TravelGuard as your travel insurance. More importantly, for your peace of mind, protect your investment.

Your success in my program is my success. Our common goal is to ensure that you have reduced your personal risk as much as possible. Taking risks out of the equation makes it easier to commit to your goals.

Retreat clients must insure and protect their investments, so we will remind you when booking. Retreat business policies prohibit last-minute cancellations and early departure refunds. Therefore, your best option to protect your investment is travel insurance.

DAY 1-Deadlift Technique

Evaluation of your best-suited technique. Try Sumo and Conventional.

If you can bend down and pick something up, you can perform the deadlift.


Two deadlift styles are taught for your practice. Learn both techniques for best results and when competing use your strongest one. 


Expect up to four hours of total instruction and training time to learn the deadlift, variations, and accessory exercises. Competition standards are part of precision control and the possibility of participation in future powerlifting meets. 

  

Free time for exercise recovery is in the latter part of the day. A Vegas Fitness Retreat would not be complete without an opportunity to enjoy your host destination. Our schedule permits personal outings to Las Vegas, Lake Mead National Park, and Hoover Dam. Guests may also relax in the residence or enjoy the scenic trail on our private property.    

 


2 -Bench Press Technique

Learn proper setup, bar placement, leg drive, and muscle activation.

More than a chest press, you will learn how to activate your back and lower body. Generate more strength and power with this technique. 


Expect up to four hours of total instruction and training time to learn the bench press, variations, and accessory exercises. Competition standards are part of precision control and the possibility of participation in future powerlifting meets.

Final-Squat Progressions

Learn the how and why of the Barbell Back Squat with complete form.

If you can sit down and get up from a chair, you can perform a squat. 


The squat is a daily life movement. If you think you cannot perform squats, your coach will start training at the level you need to begin. 


Expect up to four hours of total instruction and training time to learn the squat, variations, and accessory exercises. Competition standards are part of precision control and the possibility of participation in future powerlifting meets.
