Taiwan Mountains: Sun Moon Lake, Alishan

After 4 days in the bustling city of Taipei, we will head to the mountains.

Sun Moon Lake is Taiwan's largest freshwater lake, located at an elevation of 2,454 ft (748m) above sea level. It is one of Taiwan’s most scenic areas surrounded by Ci’en Pagoda and several famous temples. Alishan is famous for its towering mountains, pristine forests, indigenous Tsou culture and tea plantations. You’ll visit a tea farm here and learn more about how teas are cultivated.

Northern Taiwan: Taoyuan

Finally, we will end our trip in Taoyuan, and to get here we will take the Taiwan High Speed Rail traveling at a top speed of 220mph (350km/h).

Taoyuan is the 4th largest metropolitan area with the fastest population growth in recent decades of any city in Taiwan. The cultural diversity here is paralleled only by an equal abundance of natural attractions, earning the county the nicknames of the "flower kingdom" and "land of a thousand ponds." While here, we will visit some historical sites, including the likes of Daxi Old Street area.
