Arrival in Puerto Natales, Chile by 4PM (local time). Transfer to hotel, welcome dinner in the evening.
Depart Puerto Natales for Torres del Paine National Park (approx 1.5 hour drive). Visit scenic spots such as Mirador Nordenskjöld, Mirador Salto Chico, and Lake Pehoe. Check-in and eat lunch at Rio Serrano Hotel. In the afternoon, we will go for a hike to the beautiful Mirador Cuernos (approx 4 miles round trip).
In the morning, we will depart for Grey Lake in Torres del Paine and take a scenic boat ride across the lake to meet our guides. We will then spend a few hours kayaking on the glacial lake marveling at the majesty of Grey Glacier, also witnessing meltwater waterfall and floating icebergs. (*Equipment and neoprene drysuits included.)
After kayaking, we will warm up with coffee and hot cocoa and if time permits, hike to the Grey Glacier viewpoint before heading back on the boat.
Get ready for a full day of hiking! Mirador Las Torres has been named as one of the most beautiful hikes in the world (part of the infamous 'W' trek) taking you to one of Patagonia’s most breathtaking viewpoints.
This 8-10 hour round-trip trek (approx 12 miles round trip) winds through lush valleys, ancient forests, and rocky terrain before revealing the iconic three granite towers rising dramatically above a turquoise glacial lake. The final ascent is tough, but the stunning panoramic view makes every step worth it. This hike will be EPIC!
We will spend the majority of the day horseback riding and visiting a traditional Patagonian estancia (ranch), which offers a unique glimpse into the region’s rich gaucho culture and breathtaking landscapes. We will ride across vast, open pampas with panoramic views of snow-capped peaks, glacial rivers, and roaming wildlife (maybe spot a puma or some guanacos!), just as the legendary Patagonian cowboys have for centuries.
After an unforgettable journey on horseback, we will relax at the estancia, where we will enjoy a traditional asado (barbecue) lunch, learn about local ranching traditions, and immerse ourselves in the rugged beauty of Patagonia.
In the late afternoon we will depart back to Puerto Natales.
In the morning we will depart from Puerto Natales and head to El Calafate, Argentina (approx 4 hour drive). Upon arrival and checking into the hotel, we will have FREE time in the afternoon to explore the quaint and adorable town of El Calafate or participate in another activity if you choose.
Prepare to have your mind blown! Our day will start by driving to Perito Moreno National Park (approx 1.5 hours). Upon arrival, we will spend time exploring the many boardwalk trails in the park which offer different viewpoints of Perito Moreno Glacier. Photos don't do a justice of how massive and awe-inspiring this glacier is!
If we are lucky, we might even witness massive chunks of ice calving into the turquoise waters of the lagoon below. Next we will head on a boat across the lake where we will meet our guides and strap on crampons and other gear to trek on Perito Moreno glacier! For 2 hours, we will trek across the otherworldly landscape of deep crevasses, shimmering blue ice formations and giant ice walls, and hidden ice caves of this incredible glacier. Then we head back to El Calafate where we will enjoy a delicious final dinner together!
On the final day, we will leave El Calafate and head back to Puerto Natales, Chile in the morning. (Flights can be scheduled to depart after 4PM to Santiago or wherever your connecting flight is from.)
