About your trip

A Turks and Caicos liveaboard has been on our agenda for quite a while, ever since we did a single dive off a cruise ship in Grand Turk way back in 2018. My niece was only 11 then, and on the single shallow dive we did, we saw reef sharks, turtles, and garden eels. We were on a reef slope that had a nice drop-off as well. Ever since that one taste, and for years after hearing about it, I have wanted to return.  A Turks and Caicos liveaboard seems the best way to see it all.

Note, the pre booking window for the trip is closed, so while there is space available please don't buy plane tickets until your preferred room class is confirmed!

What does the Itinerary look like?

The trips starts on Saturday, April 25th, 2026.  If you would like to arrive a day or a few days before that to make sure flight delays don't cause you to miss the boat, we can help with that.  If you are not doing that then trip insurance is HIGHLY recommended.  The airport code for Provenciales is PLS.  That is where you fly in and out!

Saturday:

15:00 Guests may begin to board the Turks & Caicos Explorer II

The vessel will normally be located at the Marina at South Bank (Caicos Marina and Shipyard) but may depart early due to tides or weather. If you are staying on the island, please check in with the vessel on Saturday morning to determine when and where to meet the boat. If you arrive on Saturday, you will be met at the airport.

18:30 Dinner (snacks or dinner available for those arriving on later flights

20:00 Captain’s Briefing, documents, etc.

Sunday:

Provo’s Northwest Point. Four to five dives, with the night spent at mooring.

Monday:

Two morning dives at Northwest Point and a 2-hour trip to West Caicos. Three dives, with the night spent at mooring.

Tuesday:

Up to five dives at West Caicos, with the night spent at mooring.

Wednesday:

Two dives at West Caicos, transit to French Cay, three at French Cay, and the night spent at mooring.

Thursday: Five dives at French Cay, with the night spent at mooring.

Friday:

Dawn dive and morning dive at French Cay, with departure for the 2-hour trip back to port. Afternoon at leisure; dinner ashore, with the night spent aboard the vessel.

Saturday:

07:00/08:30 Continental breakfast

09:00 Depart the Turks & Caicos Explorer II. Should you be leaving on an afternoon flight, you may leave your luggage aboard for pickup later. However, cabs are very expensive and it can be costly to return to the vessel.

Due to the necessity of readying the vessel for our next cruise, 9:00am departure is enforced.

Single Occupancy

There are no single rooms on the boat, so if you want that book 2 spots of the same class.  The second room will be 20% off.  Email me (mattislanddivershawaii@gmail.com) and I'll adjust the price.
