Join a group of open-hearted women on a small group trip through the less traveled Greek islands of Karpathos and Kasos. Wander the ancient village of Olympos, Greece's last living time capsule, the only place in the country where locals still wear traditional dress. Enjoy a private boat ride through cerulean seas to the uninhabited beautiful island of Saria where the captain will serve us lunch. Enjoy unique experiences like a local dancing class, dinner inside an ancient working windmill with dramatic sea views, and a barbeque made especially for us by our Greek partner on the grounds of a stunning ocean villa amongst lavender and olive trees. Welcome to the enchanting island of Karpathos, one of Greece’s best kept secrets, where crystal clear water meets rugged charm. After a welcome from our partners, we’ll set off on a leisurely stroll through the town of Pigadia.
For lunch we will stop at a taverna for authentic Greek fare. Enjoy a few hours of free time in the afternoon shopping or soaking up the sun by the pool before an incredibly special evening. We will head to a private luxury villa, a two-acre seaside retreat nestled high above Pigadia surrounded by rosemary, lavender, and olive trees. Our Greek host, George, will fire up the barbeque and under the stars, we will enjoy a welcome dinner with our new friends.
Meals: Dinner
Enjoy breakfast at a local seaside restaurant before setting off on a truly immersive experience-a botanical clay and mosaic workshop nestled among olive groves and wild herbs in the charming vineyard region of Pini. Guided by local artists and inspired by nature, you will create a unique piece of commemorative art. (No experience required!) We will continue with a scenic, easy hike through hidden trails, catching winding views of the terraced vineyard slopes and the sweeping valley below.
In the afternoon, rest or enjoy some time wandering the harbor-front whitewashed town of Pigadia with its bougainvillea strewn alleys, local shops, and cute cafes.
In the evening, enjoy dinner as a group at a lively seaside restaurant with views across the harbor and out to the sparkling Aegean Sea.
Meals: Breakfast; Dinner
Breakfast at a local seaside restaurant before we make our way to the idyllic Kyra Panagia beach. With its turquoise waters framed by rugged cliffs, this beach is straight out of a postcard. Read, swim, or soak up the sun in this Greek paradise.
Optional lunch at a local taverna for amazing fresh food with a spectacular sea view.
Late afternoon, we will meet up again for an incredibly unique experience. A local woman from the village for will teach us a traditional Karpathian dance!
After culture, fun and laughter, we will return to our hotel in Pigadia for a free evening.
Meals: Breakfast
Breakfast as a group before we head to our next adventure- A ferry ride across the Aegean Sea to the magical, little-known island of Kasos. Upon arrival we’ll stroll the narrow streets, marvel at the ancient mansions, and take in the picturesque, sea-sprayed harbor.
After checking into our local hotel, the island’s most celebrated taverna is our next stop. Taverna Emporeios serves up simple, local dishes with spectacular Aegean Sea views.
We have something special planned in the evening, so stay tuned.
Meals: Breakfast; Lunch; Dinner
Breakfast in Kasos before heading back to Karpathos Island on the ferry. From there, we will head north into the mountains to Olympos, one of Greece’s last truly traditional villages. Perched high and once famously isolated, Olympos is like a living folklore museum where the locals still wear embroidered clothing and guard their customs closely. After checking into our simple accommodations, a guided tour will lead us through a labyrinth of narrow alleys and stone-built houses. You’ll have time to shop and take pictures of the preserved beauty of this unique hilltop village. We will also visit a community center where we will learn more about the traditions behind Olympos’ distinctive attire.
The magic doesn’t stop there! In the evening, we will visit an ancient working windmill where we will have dinner inside the windmill. Here rustic flavors are served with unmatched views and a spectacular sunset over the Aegean Sea. After our amazing dinner we will head back to Pigadia.
Meals: Breakfast; Dinner
Rise and shine! Today is going to be a special day. After breakfast, we’ll make our way to a private boat and we’ll explore the wild, uninhabited island of Saria often described as a “hidden paradise”. We’ll spend the day circling its rugged shores, exploring a mysterious sea cave, visiting two pristine beaches, and discovering traces of ancient ruins. Our captain will prepare lunch on the boat served against a backdrop of crystal-clear turquoise waters and dramatic cliffs.
In the evening, we will come together for a traditional feast as our final farewell dinner in celebration of this amazing week.
Meals: Breakfast; Lunch; Dinner
