I’m not usually a big-group travel person. I travel frequently, often off the beaten path, and I tend to prefer the freedom of exploring on my own. But traveling with Somewhere Sunny never really felt like being part of a “group tour.” I felt incredibly cared for and attended to throughout the trip, without ever feeling like I was waiting around for other people or moving through someone else’s itinerary. Bree has a wonderful way of creating a group dynamic that feels like an invitation—to connect, to be included, to get to know the other women traveling with you—without ever forcing it. And the itinerary was extraordinary. Even as someone who travels a lot and actively seeks out experiences beyond the usual tourist routes, this was a trip I simply could not have put together myself. Bree and her local guide, George, are incredibly thoughtful about the places they take you, the people you meet, and the experiences they create. Over seven days, I had the chance to learn the stories of the women I was traveling with, but also the stories of women and communities in the places we visited. That became one of the most meaningful parts of the experience for me. I came home more curious about our world, having learned so much, and with a heart full of hope. And then there was Greece itself—the food, the sea, the sunsets, the landscapes. We didn’t just visit beautiful places; we had the chance to really experience a place through its nature, culture, people, stories, and spirit. Somewhere Sunny gave me something I value enormously when I travel: the feeling that I hadn’t simply seen a place, but had gotten to know it a little. And I left feeling more connected—to Greece, to the women I traveled with, and to the wider world.

I've gone on two trips with Somewhere Sunny and both have been meticulously planned and perfectly executed. I bonded with wonderful, easy-going women, had to opportunity to get to know Guatemalan locals and learn about their culture and will forever cherish so many beautiful moments experienced in this amazing country. I never had Guatemala on my radar as a place I wanted to visit but I'm already planning another trip back. I can't recommend it and this trip with Somewhere Sunny enough! The country is beautiful and the people are even better!

I was blown away by Colombia. I loved seeing old friends from my previous Somewhere Sunny trip to Greece and meeting new friends. Colombia is alive, colorful, vibrant and I was moved by the sense of community in the neighborhoods. Colombia was not on my "bucket list" but I am glad that I ventured outside of my comfort zone and experienced another amazing Somewhere Sunny trip.
