Late afternoon: Welcome to Asheville! Check into your adorable little A-frame at the Wrong Way River Lodge directly across from the French Broad River

Early evening: Everyone will meet in The Meadow for our welcome party. We will enjoy a casual tasting of featured North Carolina wines and appetizers from an Asheville charcuterie company, as we mingle and listen to live, acoustic music from a local musician. Music, wine and cheese...The best trio! Add in fabulous women for a perfect formula.

Night time: Settle into your room for rest and relaxation.

8am - 9am: Meet in the Wrong Way Canteen for a casual breakfast. Glamping at its finest-there will be coffee of course.

9am - noon: Get ready for an adventure! We will get picked up in custom, military-style Jeeps for the ride of a lifetime in the majestic Blue Ridge Mountains. This drive is touted by many as “the prettiest drive in America.” We’ll climb to almost 5000ft, stopping along the way at scenic overlooks and for a short nature hike.

Early afternoon: Enjoy some free time after a big morning. Explore Asheville, have some lunch, read in your hammock, or chat with new friends.

Late afternoon: We will have an opportunity to support the local community in the wake of Hurricane Helene and hear more about the resilience of the people in Western North Carolina.

Evening: We’ll head to downtown to Historic Asheville for a wonderful dinner at a locally owned Italian trattoria. Fingers crossed that the weather cooperates so we can enjoy the rooftop afterwards.

Night time: We will be excited to head back to our adorable cabins at the Wrong Way after a long day. If you still have energy, feel free to meet together at the fire pit.

Early morning: Stop in the Camp Canteen to get a healthy ‘grab and go’ breakfast before we head out for our final adventure. Check out of your cabin as we will be heading 35 minutes away for our last activity at 7:50am. Don’t worry -the early morning will be worth it!

8:30am - 11:30am: Namaste in Nature will be hosting us for a private yoga, hike, and waterfall micro retreat. Our group will walk along the Catawba River as we make a gradual incline, enjoying multiple breathtaking water features along the way. We will have a serene yoga experience in the woods, a mindful short meditation, and arrive at a 100 ft waterfall.

11:30am: Feeling zen and refreshed, we will say goodbye to our new friends and beautiful Asheville as this glorious weekend comes to a close.

I've gone on two trips with Somewhere Sunny and both have been meticulously planned and perfectly executed. I bonded with wonderful, easy-going women, had to opportunity to get to know Guatemalan locals and learn about their culture and will forever cherish so many beautiful moments experienced in this amazing country. I never had Guatemala on my radar as a place I wanted to visit but I'm already planning another trip back. I can't recommend it and this trip with Somewhere Sunny enough! The country is beautiful and the people are even better!

This trip is truly transformational. It is filled with so many unique, memorable experiences that allow travelers to engage with the diverse communities and people of Guatemala. Bree possesses a special kind of magic, not only crafting a perfectly balanced itinerary, but fostering an instant community among the participants. By the end of the first day, everyone is a friend. By the end of the week, you are part of a new community who cheers you, supports you, and uplifts you-not only on the trip itself, but in the days, weeks, and months that follow. This was an absolutely spectacular trip. The itinerary was masterfully crafted to include a unique blend of authentic cultural experiences, sightseeing, delicious food, nature, a "give back" component to the women and children of Guatemala and more. There was great camaraderie among the women who attended and it was a lot of fun. It was a trip I will always remember and cherish.

I had an absolutely fabulous experience on the Asheville women’s pop-up trip last weekend. The weather was perfect, setting the tone for an unforgettable adventure. From riding through the stunning Blue Ridge Parkway to enjoying a rooftop dinner with breathtaking views, every moment was special. The food was incredible, and the combination of hikes, waterfalls, and yoga created the perfect balance of relaxation and exploration. This trip was truly a magical escape that I would highly recommend to any woman looking to reconnect with nature and herself.
