These trips are magic - the glorious sweeping volcano vistas, the colorful buildings dotting ancient cobblestone streets, the rich Mayan textiles everywhere you look, the smell of wood burning in the air, the majestic first views of Lake Atitlán. Guatemala is undoubtedly beautiful, and the people are so warm and welcoming. But the true magic comes in sharing it with a small group of like-minded, positive humans who are curious about the world and are inherent champions of women. You will leave this trip feeling so alive and excited about life.

From there, we will head to the only organic macadamia farm in Latin America where we will tour the farm, enjoy the beautiful garden, and learn about the anti-aging properties of macadamia as well as all the good this company is doing in the region. The best part? Mini macadamia facials that you will love. The oil is amazing, so bring some $ because you will for sure want to take some home!
In the afternoon, we head to the little village of Santiago Zamora. There we will join the women of a local Mayan Women’s cooperative for an immersive cultural presentation that you will remember for a lifetime. We will make homemade corn tortillas alongside the women and try the national dish of Guatemala, pepián. There will also be an opportunity to buy textiles, coffee, and other handicrafts from the women.

Today we will embark on a once in a lifetime experience-climbing an active volcano!
We leave for Volcán Pacaya* at 8am where we will summit to the base. While there, we should have an opportunity to roast marshmallows on the hot molten stones. There is an adorable ‘lava store’ at the top with unique one-of-a-kind souvenirs.
We will have private transportation and a certified tour guide for the entirety of this trip. *The hike to Pacaya is fairly strenuous. There are horses available for a small fee if you should need them.
After the hike, we will make our way to the incredibly special organic gardens of Caoba Farms where a long table will await us under the plants. We will share a beautiful lunch of wood-fired pizzas and mezze platters from the vegetable garden. This spot is a favorite among locals and foreigners, and I can assure you, it will be a favorite of yours as well.
Meals included: Breakfast, Lunch
Breakfast in the courtyard at Saúl at the Good Hotel.
Depart for a rural village where we will have the opportunity to visit a small coffee farm-on the side of a volcano. We will ride in the back of pickup trucks for the experience of a lifetime. We will meet the farmer and learn about artisanal coffee production right from the source. This will be an impactful experience that ends with tasting coffee from one of the greatest world producers of coffee in the world-Guatemala.
At lunchtime, we will head to a beautiful 150-year-old coffee plantation where will take part in a private and magical meal at the Wild Daughter Outdoor Kitchen & Garden. We will have the pleasure of meeting the visionary behind Wild Daughter, chef, entrepreneur, and designer, Noemi Dulischewski. Originally from Germany, Noemi has lived and worked in London, New York, and Amsterdam. We will not only enjoy seasonally inspired farm to table elevated cuisine, but we will hear more about Noemi’s storied life and how she came to be an expat in Antigua- all the while sipping on botanical drinks and eating wood-fired cooked food.
After this memorable experience, we will have free time to wander the vast grounds of the coffee plantation where you can find a coffee shop and store, a chocolate workshop/store, beer garden, café, boutique, and lush gardens.
