We had a fantastic time on this trip. We knew two of the other couples and, before the trip was over, felt we knew (and enjoyed!) the other travelers as well. This was very well planned, we felt both tour guides were very knowledgeable, personable, and really cared for us all. My spouse had limited mobility due to a fall that occurred only a week before our trip, and she received really tailored service and assistance when needed. South Africa is a beautiful country, and everyone we met was kind and friendly. I would recommend this tour to anyone!

Hi Brian - thanks so much for your kind words! We loved having you and Kathy along. I'm glad you two enjoyed yourselves, and kudos to Kathy for being such a sport in spite of her serious injuries. It's an old African proverb: Where there's a will, there's a way!

Absolutely fabulous time! Annie is a great hostess and took great pains to make sure all the guests were comfortable. She and her team were all wonderful people to get to know and showed us a great time. Kruger Park was unforgettable -- I'd return in a heartbeat. I especially appreciated the mixture of the animals, scenery and cultural aspects of the tour. The people were all very nice, and so was the food; the accomodations were first rate. I couldn't have asked for more on my ultimate bucket list trip!! (I thought this would be my last big one but I'm already talking about Egypt in a year with Annie.😉)

Thanks Arnella! It was so much fun to host you in Africa! You were such a sport - it was a pleasure to watch you try everything and take it all in. And you were so kind and helpful to our other guests. I would love to take you to Egypt - the other end of Africa. You can have Cairo to Capetown! !

The trip with Bucket List and Annie was the most exciting and smoothly run trip I have experienced. We had plans for any and every adventure I had hoped for, and then she added in extras all along. And when I ran into an unexpected medical issue, I still was able to see Victoria Falls!!

The itinerary was great. We hit all the bucket-list pyramids, temples, and tombs. But the additional surprises were what made the trip so special: the boat trip on the Nile with its birds, the Nubian Village, the rug weavers, essential oils, the "authentic" lunches, old Cairo, and the alabaster carvers all gave us connections from ancient Egypt to the present-day life. Yasser was very knowledgeable, about ancient Egypt and mythology of course, that was expected. But it was his special touches that brought the trip alive: the special meals with his family, his discussions about muslim life, the politics around water. Both of you were kind and empathetic in your depiction of this wonderful country. The villa was great and, again, gave us a peek into Cairo life. You, Annie, were quieter than I expected, but I know that you had everything to do with our itinerary behind the scenes. And we appreciated that. My only suggestion would be, for future trips, to try to change the schedule so that you can spend a full day at the Grand Museum. Lunch at the museum won't be all that bad, even though it won't be authentic. Thank you for the trip of a lifetime!!

Where do I begin? This trip couldn’t have been better - it was the trip of a lifetime! Annie has figured it all out and has put together an amazing itinerary. Each place we stayed was different and special in its own right. Lesedi started us off with a dose of South African culture. Then it was on to Mziki where it felt like home and we didn’t want to leave. At Cradle Moon, you never knew what animals you’d be greeted by when you stepped out your door. Finally it was on to Cape Town, almost a different world, where we stayed in a very sweet Bed and Breakfast just a few blocks from the ocean (photos of the beloved Nelson Mandela looking down at us in every room). Our days were filled with gorgeous South African sunsets, game drives, seeing animals I never thought I’d see other than through bars, and amazing up-close-and-personal adventures at various wildlife sanctuaries (we petted an elephant, a cheetah, and a lion cub - didn’t touch the monkeys but they sure touched us! They were SO much fun!). Walking with lions…never thought I’d do that one. Not quite sure what changed my mind but yeah, I’m glad I did it. Hot-air ballooning - wow! Always thought I’d be afraid to do that but I couldn’t have been more wrong. Penguins. We hung out on the beach with penguins! Six months ago, I don’t know that I knew there were penguins in South Africa. In fact, I’m sure I didn’t. Call me ignorant but I know I’m not alone ;) They were so cool and the beach was beautiful. Annie gave us so much helpful info before the trip and promptly answered the 367543 questions I sent her way. There was never any pressure to do any of the extras. Annie made it easy to make a last-minute decision if we were unsure about something. She was incredibly accommodating and communicative, and she made everything so comfortable and easy. All the details of the trip were planned perfectly and, everywhere we went, the people along the way were so genuinely happy to see her. She not only has a great working relationship with all these folks, she obviously has great personal relationships with them as well. Not surprising - she’s the best!

I just returned from a once in a lifetime trip to Cairo organized by Bucket List Travel. Annie took care of every detail of planning, and it really showed when I got off the plane and was taken care of from start to finish with the greatest care. Our guide Yasser was kind, professional, knowledgeable, and funny! He went above and beyond to ensure every need was met and we got the most out of each day in Egypt. I always felt safe and loved experiencing local life and culture. I plan to grab my friends and book again with Bucket List Travel!
