The school was great at adjusting instruction based on learner levels. Small class sizes were AMAZING! I enjoyed the additional optional excursions and activities and truly enjoyed my homestay experience. That extra practice in the morning speaking in future tense and describing my day in past tense when I returned really helped solidify my learning!

Excellent time I wished I had booked more time than one week although I’ll be back hopefully next year. The classes are well structured and all the tutors are friendly and approachable

I had a great experience at Nosara Spanish Institute. I did the 2-week 20-hour program while staying at the Nosara housing, which was very comfortable. The apartment was new construction and had everything I needed, plus access to the main house for socializing. Next time, I would do a host family, as I heard very positive feedback from other students, for a fuller Spanish immersion experience. The housing is in Esperanza, which is a short drive to the city center, in a very cool and developing area of town, not to be missed. The classes were great, and my teacher was very informative when it came to Costa Rican history. The school also provided great activities outside of the scheduled classes, which included turtle tours (included a small fee), cooking (included a small fee), and in-person Spanish conversations with locals.

I had a great experience at the Nosara Spanish Institute and highly recommend taking classes there. Everyone at the school is welcoming and happy to help with questions and recommendations. I signed up for the 20 hour group classes during a holiday week - because of the holiday, the class size was small and I ended up having 1:1 sessions with Esteban. Initially, it seemed like it would be tough to speak 1:1 for 20 hours but Esteban made it fun and easy. There was a good balance of going through workbook exercises and casual conversation, he told plenty of jokes and we swapped funny stories. In addition to improving my Spanish, I learned a great deal about local culture and some of the regional nuances of Costa Rican Spanish vs Spanish in other countries. If you're in the area, NSI is a must do activity! You'll be speaking Spanish with locals in no time

I had a wonderful time at the Institute. The student housing was comfortable, clean, and has everything needed for a week of cooking. The one on one class was exactly what I needed to expand my Spanish. It is a great refresher and springboard to the next level of learning. I look forward to when I can return.
