Our guests have shared how important this day is for them to rest before going on safari. Use this day to purchase any last-minute things you might need while on safari. After breakfast at your hotel, our driver will pick you at 10: 00am for a city tour of Arusha. We will visit the following places:

-Shoprite Mall for any last-minute snacks, toiletries or anything you might need while on safari

After breakfast you will start your safari by visiting the magnificent Tarangire National Park. This is Tanzania's fourth largest park offering diverse wildlife and scenery including giant baobab trees. It is home to the largest herds of elephants in East Africa!. These herds migrate along the wildlife corridor to nearby Lake Manyara National Park and Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Animal populations here rival those of the Serengeti so you will have a chance to see wildebeests, zebras, elands, hartebeests, buffalos, gerenuks, fringe eared Oryx, and flocks of birds of various species. After breakfast, we will drive to the Southwest end of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area (with our packed lunch accompanied by a local guide) to the Hadzabe and Datoga communities considered the last remaining hunter-gatherer communities in East Africa. While here, we will explore their culture, hunting, and music. Dinner and overnight at

After breakfast, you will visit the Olduvai Gorge, an archaeological site located in the northern plains of Ngorongoro Conservation Area where early human fossils were discovered by Mary Leakey. After touring the site we will drive to Ndutu Area to explore more in this World Heritage Site, Ngorongoro Conservation Area. The great migration reaches here with its over two million animals to give birth to their calves and thousands of animals are born daily between the end of December and the beginning of March. This also attracts many predators like lions, cheetahs, and hyenas.

After breakfast you will continue with game drive at Ndutu area.  The Ndutu Area is part of Ngorongoro Conservation Area making boundary to the southern  Serengeti. The great migration reaches here with its over two million animals to give birth to their calves and thousands of animals are born daily between the end of December and the beginning of March. This also attracts many predators like lions, cheetah, and hyenas.

After breakfast, with packed lunch, drive to Serengeti National Park. Enjoy the drive as we explore this world heritage site, where earth’s largest concentration of plain game still roams freely. After breakfast, with packed lunch you will drive southward towards the Ngorongoro conservation area with wildlife viewing on the way. You will have your lunch at Naabi Hill (exit gate in Serengeti) as you sign-in to Ngorongoro Conservation Area. After lunch, proceed to Ngorongoro Conservation Area and while on the way you will stop to one of the MaasaiBomas in the Ngorongoro Area to learn, experience and enjoy Maasai culture, their traditional dancing and handcrafts. You will arrive in your hotel in the evening for rest, dinner and overnight. After early breakfast you will descend to the crater for early morning game drive inside the crater. This is the best place in Tanzania to see the black rhino as well as prides of lions that includes the magnificent, black-manned males. There are lots of colorful flamingoes and a variety of water birds. Other game that you can see includes leopards, cheetahs, hyena, other members of the antelope family, small mammals, hippos, and many more.

A safari with Lendimi is not complete without sharing the culture and the traditions of our tribe. On this day we will tour the village of Seela to meet with community members, share the local cuisine, and participate in a tree-planting exercise. By planting a tree, you will be participating in restoring nature and leaving a life that will outlive your time in Tanzania.

Today, we will fly to the islands of Zanzibar. Arrive at Karume International Airport.  Visit Stone Town-the old slave market in Zanzibar and UNESCO World Heritage Site. In the afternoon, drive to the hotel.

Zanzibar is known for its spices and you wouldn't want to miss a tour. Experience the farms, pick your own spices, and participate in a cooking class with the Swahili women of Zanzibar.
