Arrive early to Bogota on Day 1 to account for possible delays and to simply enjoy a day in Colombia’s grandest city. Depending on your time of arrival, choose from a wide variety of optional activities and get to know your guides. Enjoy private transport from El Dorado International Airport to our hotel.
Among the many incredible city activities we have planned before we head to the jungle is a reception dinner at the top of Monserrate, the tallest peak overlooking this city of 8 million.

After breakfast, we head to the airport for a two-hour flight to Leticia, the capital of the Amazon. There, we will visit a Maloca (indigenous sacred house) to learn firsthand about the different methods and processes implemented by the Tikuna, Yucuna, and Uitoto Indigenous peoples. We'll spend the day with them, learning about the mambe process using coca leaves, participating in a plant weaving workshop, experiencing natural tattoos made with achiote and jagua, enjoying traditional indigenous dances, and having a traditional lunch prepared by our hosts.
In the afternoon, we set sail on the Amazon River in a private motorboat to the Marasha reservoir in Peru! At night, navigate around the lake with a local Indigenous guide in search of crocodiles and alligators and other jungle animals.

Today is dedicated to enjoying the attractions of the reserve. Activities include kayaking on Marasha lake, canopy tours in the treetops, jungle hikes, nocturnal canoe rides to spot animals, and trek or kayak to a spectacular giant native tree. There will be ample time to appreciate the Peruvian Amazon in all its splendor in this peaceful place.

In the morning, we depart the Marasha reserve by foot with an Indigenous guide, looking for the world's smallest monkey. It's back across the Amazon River to Colombia and to Monkey Island, a special place where we'll have the opportunity to observe a large number of monkeys in their natural habitat. Finish the day at Arara Biohotel, a deluxe hotel on the Amazon River, where you can enjoy the pool and the hotel's amenities, as well as take a night eco hike.

Today is reserved for relaxation and enjoying the hotel and its surroundings. Swim in the pool, explore the surrounding jungle with a guide, or choose from a number of other optional activities.

We'll conclude our visit to the Amazon with a boat tour to the cities of Leticia, Colombia, and Tabatinga, Brazil. There, we'll visit a market to see the different products brought by Indigenous Peoples for sale and observe the daily life of the Amazon inhabitants. Later, we'll continue by road to the airport for our flight to Bogotá. In Bogotá, rest at your hotel and enjoy a free evening to dine where you please.

From Bogota, it is a short, half-hour flight to Pereira, capital of coffee country. From there, we'll take private transportation to a traditional coffee hacienda, where we'll learn about the coffee making process and taste extraordinary types of coffee based upon different processes. Then, we'll continue for an hour to the Andean mountains, where our beautiful luxury glamping site, the Condor's Nest, is located. When we say luxury, we mean it. This accommodation itself, only accessible by gondola is one of the many highlights of the trip. Enjoy chef prepared meals, take a spin of the electric mountain bikes, and hopefully catch a glimpse of the famous Andean Condor.

Today will be spent entirely in this beautiful place, with opportunities for hiking, biking, condor watching, photography, or simply enjoying our otherworldly perch amid the Andes mountains.

Today we leave our Andean oasis behind for an adventure into the wild! Travel by 4x4 vehicles for about two hours to Los Nevados National Park. At 4000 meters above sea level, we'll start a 3 to 4-hour hike, covering approximately 10 kilometers, to the beautiful Otún Lagoon. This is where we make camp for the night, at 3800m, an incredible opportunity to disconnect and commune with nature.
During the hike, we will explore the Páramo ecosystem, found only in 5 countries worldwide and crucial for water production.

After a beautiful night under the stars, we'll start the day with a hearty breakfast and begin our descent to a place known as El Jordan, elevation 3200m. The hike to El Jordan takes roughly hours and ends at a beautiful farm house situated next to a gigantic waterfalls.. Enjoy the afternoon and evening observing hummingbirds and other local animals and getting to know the lives of the people who inhabit these Andean mountains.

Our decent to Pereira from the mountain farm passes through a beautiful valley that gradually transitions into the high Andean wet forest characterized by its large trees. After a lunch stop at a place named La Pastora, we continue hiking roughly 2 hours to El Cedral, where a 4x4 vehicle will be waiting to take us to Pereira airport for our flight to Medellín. In Medellin, enjoy well deserved rest at one of the city's best hotels.

After breakfast we fly from Medellin to Bahía Solano in the Chocó department of Colombia. Upon arrival, a vehicle will take us approximately 18 kilometers to the El Valle district, adjacent to the beautiful El Almejal beach, where our hotel is located. After settling in, have lunch and a stroll along El Almejal beach. Evening brings classic Colombian Pacific cuisine and a beach bonfire.

Today, visit the beautifully wild Utría National Park. Upon arrival, receive a brief informative talk from park officials before walking the Los Manglares trail, and learning about the different mangrove species and their importance to the ecosystem. Return by boat to Playa Blanca island, for lunch and the opportunity to snorkel around the coral reef. The rest of the afternoon will be spent relaxing on Playa Blanca, swimming in the sea, or exploring the island before returning by boat to El Valle.

Today our private boat takes us northward in search of the pristine beaches of Juná and El Tigre, some of the best in Colombia. Enjoy the rivers, beaches, jungle, and waterfalls- bring a book, explore, put your feet up, treat yourself. Today's lunch is a regional classic, served in banana leaves while you relax on the beach. In the afternoon, we return to our hotel for dinner and rest before returning to Medellín the next day.

After a morning dip in the sea, we begin our journey back to Bogota with a night rest in Medellín on the way. Medellín, known as the city of endless spring is also Colombia's second most important city and steeped in history. In Medellín, we'll take a tour of Comuna 13 and learn about the city's violent history due to drug trafficking and criminal groups. Enjoy time to shop and visit the metrocable and some of the city's most important sites before returning to the hotel for an open dinner and a well-deserved rest. The evening is yours, see a show, grab a cocktail, walk the streets, or relax in our favorite Medellín hotel.

After arriving on a morning flight to Bogota, we visit a museum which National Geographic named one of the best museums in the world: El Museo del Oro (Bogotá's Gold Museum). Discover the legend of El Dorado amidst a dazzling collection of gold. In the evening, share stories, share contact information with your new friends, and raise a class at our farewell dinner!
