During the Acatenango 4×4 Tour from Antigua Guatemala, you can expect an exciting off-road adventure that blends comfort and thrill. Starting with a pickup in Antigua Guatemala between 12:45 PM and 1:15 PM, you’ll be driven directly to the base of Acatenango Volcano via a private farm road, bypassing the strenuous parts of the hike. This journey is in fully equipped 4×4 vehicles, guided by experienced off-road drivers, ensuring a smooth and adventurous ascent.

After the drive, the vehicles will drop you 900 meters from the base camp, where you’ll complete the short trek on foot. At base camp, you’ll settle into shared cabins for up to 6 people, equipped with mats and sleeping bags for your comfort. This is where the magic begins: from camp, you’ll have front-row seats to the spectacular eruptions of Volcán Fuego, lighting up the night sky with its volcanic activity.

The following morning, a sunrise hike to the summit of Acatenango awaits, offering breathtaking views of the Guatemalan highlands. You can cancel the tour as long as you inform us at least 24 hours before the tour date. If you have made any previous deposit, we will refund the total amount. If you do not inform us in advance, we will not be able to refund the total amount. Another option could be to change the reservation to another date.

Mayan Outdoors reserves the right to cancel the tour due to adverse weather conditions, volcanic activity, or irregular seismic activity, and the regulations of the farm and the competent authorities. In this case, we will inform you in advance about the cancellation of the tour. We may consider rescheduling it, or we will refund the total amount deposited. This may even be the day of the tour.
