The week was amazing. Small class, great instructor, and just a fun way to learn conversational Spanish. Loved it and will go back for more.

I took the 20 hours classes at your institute. I enjoyed the time I spend with my group and my instructor. The materiel was fine, the progression was at a good pace. I wish we had more interaction between the group, which would have allowed us to practice more and have more conversation. From my point of view, the approach should include more participation from the students , more activities during the class that give us the chance to speak. We went to see the turtles and it was fabulous, however, I was very surprised that all the experience was done in English and not in Spanish. Even the guide who didn’t speak a lot of English wasn’t speaking Spanish. I was convinced that the activities organized by the institute would be an opportunity to practice Spanish. Thank you for the experience,

Hola Rachel! Thanks so much for the feedback and we'll be sure to try and incorporate more opportunities to practice. We try to always encourage this each week and some students participate more and others are quiet so we try and adapt to different learning styles. Thanks again for your input as it is super helpful.

The school was great at adjusting instruction based on learner levels. Small class sizes were AMAZING! I enjoyed the additional optional excursions and activities and truly enjoyed my homestay experience. That extra practice in the morning speaking in future tense and describing my day in past tense when I returned really helped solidify my learning!

Excellent time I wished I had booked more time than one week although I’ll be back hopefully next year. The classes are well structured and all the tutors are friendly and approachable

I had a great experience at Nosara Spanish Institute. I did the 2-week 20-hour program while staying at the Nosara housing, which was very comfortable. The apartment was new construction and had everything I needed, plus access to the main house for socializing. Next time, I would do a host family, as I heard very positive feedback from other students, for a fuller Spanish immersion experience. The housing is in Esperanza, which is a short drive to the city center, in a very cool and developing area of town, not to be missed. The classes were great, and my teacher was very informative when it came to Costa Rican history. The school also provided great activities outside of the scheduled classes, which included turtle tours (included a small fee), cooking (included a small fee), and in-person Spanish conversations with locals.
