Meet Your Teachers

Claire Green – Lead Teacher Trainer Senior Yoga teacher, yoga therapist and passionate yin yogi, from her first encounter with yin yoga she was hooked and fell in love with the pure raw healing potential of the practice and the contrast between the strength and power of a yang practice compared to the grace and surrender of a yin practice. Passionate about how yoga empowers people in the healing process; rather, than being a passive recipient of treatment, the student is actively engaged in the path to their own well-being. Claire sees her role as guide you to listen to your own subtle messages your body gives and directing you as to how to respond offering tools for re-balance and teaching you the way to implement these tools within your own teaching. Claire has over 1,200 hours of teacher training and 15 years of teaching experience; completing 500 hours with the British Wheel of Yoga in 2005; Birthlight pregnancy yoga training in 2009. She gained the British Wheel of Yoga Foundation Course Teacher Trainer certification in 2011 delivering the British Wheel of Yoga training. In 2014 she completed Forrest Yoga Advanced Yoga Training before furthering her training by completing 500-hour with Maggie Reach studying yin yoga therapy, yoga philosophy, chanting, and Ayurveda, co-run with Neil Pearson, a specialist in physical therapy and chronic pain in 2015. By feeling and understanding ourselves energetically and working with your own meridian system you will how to restore physical and emotional balance for yourself and to teach others. On your ninth Yin day you have your Yin teaching practicals following the morning asana and meditation class and study time.

The next eight days that follow will be in the style of Alignment-based Vinyasa flow. Various teaching techniques will be presented including the fundamentals of breath-based movement, when and how to include pranayama and meditation in your classes, how to build intelligently sequenced classes using Vinyasa Krama (the building blocks of vinyasa yoga), and how to incorporate yogic philosophy and physiology. On the ninth Vinyasa day you have your Vinyasa teaching practicals following your morning asana and meditation class and a study break.

Then we have a tea break before your final written exam.

We then have our certificate ceremony and a beautiful celebration meal together for our last evening.

Vinyasa (Yang): You will gain a theoretical understanding and clear framework for sequencing a vinyasa class that cultivates creativity, independence, authenticity and allows you to grow as teachers and students in the practice of yoga. We will then explore how the different asanas and other practices can be sequenced and explore in-depth the characteristics of each asana family and the other yogic tools including meditation, pranayama, mudra, chanting etc. This will Include their effects on the physical and energetic body, the mind, benefits, yogic physiology (chakras, Vayu’s, koshas etc), western physiology (nervous systems etc), contraindications, alignment principles, etc). We will be exploring vital teaching skills and how to both deliver information effectively and encourage learning in a creative and safe manner.

The teacher will guide you how to go through a journey of understanding your energetic system. By learning these teaching skills and how to instinctively tune into your own and student’s needs will lead you to practice and then teach the art of self adjustment accordingly, so that students can understand how to tune into their own energetic body to create balance within the practice. We will be breaking down each popular Yin asana, discussing variations and use of props, the rebound and rest period and how to use a mindful meditation with your practice. We will be exploring Yin teaching skills, voice and tone and how to use observational skills to skillfully interact with students.

We have a spa closeby. We are located three minutes from the beach and local amenities

  • To teach yoga authentically, you must first have an established personal practice. During this intensive course, you will practice two hours twice a day different styles of yoga, including Vinyasa, Hatha, Yin yoga and Restorative.
  • If you feel ready to take this next step and wish to become a certified yoga teacher we do recommend you to have at least one year of regular and dedicated yoga asana practice.
  • However, if you are at the stage where you wish to develop your own practice, learn more about yoga and all its aspects, but are not ready or do not wish to become a certified yoga teacher yet then this course is also for you. We understand it can be difficult to find the time to learn and practice all the elements of yoga, so this is an opportunity to do so without becoming a yoga teacher.
  • If this is you, we do recommend you to have practiced any style of yoga for at least six months, as this will make it easier for you to develop a regular asana, pranayama, and meditation practice. You will be able to follow exactly the same schedule as those who are choosing to become certified, without the necessity to complete the final test paper and the student teaching labs.

Yoga studio offering drop-in classes, workshops, retreats, and yoga teacher trainings on the paradise island of Nusa Lembongan, Bali, Indonesia. Yoga Dunia is located on the magical island paradise of Nusa Lembongan, just a short 30-minute boat ride from beautiful Bali. A small, peaceful island, Nusa Lembongan is covered with pristine white sand beaches, warm turquoise waters, and lush jungle. Just as beautiful as Bali, but tucked away from the hustle and bustle of the tourism crowds, Nusa Lembongan is the perfect place to escape to for a transformational spiritual journey through yoga.

Yogia Dunia is a sweet little yoga studio on the beautiful Nusa Lembongan in Bali. The whole experience from beginning to end was easy to navigate with great communication from the management at Yogia Dunia. They arranged the accommodation which was perfectable adequate for the duration of the Week at the studio. I was in single accommodation only a few minutes walk from the studio and luckily had air conditioning as it was very hot in December! The small class numbers meant we had excellant "one on one" time and feedback from our teacher Claire Green (who is delilghtful and extremely knowledgable about Yin Yoga). It was a pleasant change to be away from the Large and more impersonal Yoga studios where you get lost in the numbers and I felt that we all benefited from this very personal experience, Overall I loved the course and would recommend it to anyone who is starting off the fabulous journey of YIN yoga.

She changed my way of thinking to be concise and accurate, thanks, love, blessings for her and the loved ones, and all the best as always, Namaste _/)(\_

Just finished a great Yin Teaching training with Claire Green at Dunia Yoga. The space was very relaxing and the staff were very helpful. We were fed yummy breakfasts each morning and Audrey was supportive with any needs. I highly recommend Claire for a complete Yin Yoga experience and the centre Dunia Yoga.

The YTT at Yoga Dunia was a fantastic experience. All of the team there are lovely, friendly and supportive and it was a fabulous environment for the course. The breakfasts were especially delicious with so much fresh tropical fruit - I've been missing them ever since! The emphasis on structural alignment has given me the confidence to teach knowing that my class are practising asanas safely which is really important for me. We also had a lot of teaching practice starting in the first week, which really helped to prepare us for the 'real' world. A fantastic experience and a great beginning to my journey as a yoga teacher - thank you so much.
