The Food

What you put into your body is just as important as what you do with your body. The meals in this training are a sacred part of the process and Sacred Journeys Yoga incorporates a mindful eating practice throughout. They offer three healthy, hearty vegetarian meals a day. There will be plenty of vegan and gluten-sensitive options and they do their best to accommodate most dietary concerns. Local fish will also be offered once or twice during the training at dinner for those that are pescatarian.

Yoga Alliance Certification

Students who complete the training are eligible to register with Yoga Alliance as Registered Yoga Teachers (RYT®).

There is nothing more powerful than an immersive experience and the relationships you build are priceless. Sacred Journeys Yoga understands how important ongoing support and community connection are even after the training is complete. This is one of the features that makes the training so unique. They have created an online foundation course for you to plug into, stay connected, and continue growing. This allows them to not only support you within the magical jungle of Costa Rica but also as you weave your new teachings into daily life.

If you have been looking for a yoga teacher training that encourages personal growth and creates a safe sacred space in a stunning location with a loving community, Sacred Journeys Yoga welcomes you to apply.

Schedule

The foundation of this course is based on Hatha, Vinyasa Flow, Yin, and Tantra philosophies and will explore the many other facets of the yoga practice. Through meditation, conscious communication, awareness practices, and physical movement you will gracefully transform the energies.

Each day includes two yoga practices, in the morning to invigorate and in the evening to restore, and two daily meditation or pranayama practices. Asana labs consist of breaking down the postures, sequencing, proper alignment and theory, anatomy workshops, practice teaching, and adjusting. Lecture labs consist of philosophy, ethics, history, Satsang, professional development, and marketing. In between will be plenty of time for reflection, conversation, quiet time, and journaling. There will also be a few special evening classes mixed in for games, movies, dancing, and play.
