What’s included
- TransportationAll transportation is included from arrival at the Calgary International Airport and return.
- FoodAll breakfasts from Day 2 to departure day, all lunches from Day 2 to Day 6 and all dinners from arrival day to day 5 are included as outlined in the itinerary.
- Accommodation:Accommodation during the backpacking portion of the trip will be in shared, modern, lightweight 2- and 3-person weather-proof tents.
- Equipment:The guides will provide the group safety gear such as tarps, emergency communication devices and bear spray.
- Safety:Safety is our number one priority. We expect the unexpected and will have plans for anything that could happen while on our adventures. We will have radios and other types of emergency communication.

This trip was absolutely transformative for me. The contracted kayak guides were absolutely incredibly and went above and beyond to treat us to gourmet meals, amazing campsites, and great conversation. Further, the trip leaders from Root surpassed the huge expectation I already had. Not only did they facilitate exceptional stretching, guided meditations, and a new appreciation for mindfulness, but they allowed my group to feel as though we'd known each other for YEARS instead of just a few days. I would recommend a trip through Root Adventures to everyone and feel so grateful to have discovered this program.

I had a phenomenal time on the Banff trip! The hotel accommodations and restaurants were excellent, the food while backpacking was plentiful and tasty, and our guide was knowledgeable and trustworthy. Every detail was very well planned and executed. The best parts were the amazing scenery and meeting the wonderful women of the group! I would 100% use Root Adventures to travel again!
