Event Overview: The Come to Galapagos Marathon is a private event for international runners, taking place in the stunning Galapagos Islands. In a unique twist, each international participant sponsors a local runner, covering their entrance fee as part of the tour package. The event is not just about the race; it's a celebration of community, culture, and camaraderie.
Race Options: Participants can choose from three exciting race options:
Support System: Every marathon runner is assigned a personal caddy, who follows them on a small scooter or truck. This dedicated support team ensures that you have everything you need during the race, from water to Gatorade. The caddy system offers flexibility, allowing family members or friends to join in for specific segments of the race, creating unforgettable shared moments.
Event Oversight: The event is overseen by the Come to Galapagos family, including hotel owners, farm workers, restaurant staff, fishermen, and Galapagos Park guides. All proceeds from the event contribute to the well-being of the local community.
Culinary Delights: Meals on San Cristobal feature locally caught fish, fresh produce, fruits, cheeses, and yogurt. Participants may even have the opportunity to catch their own fish for a truly immersive culinary experience.

Travel Insurance: It's highly recommended to purchase travel insurance, considering potential changes in-country requirements. The Come to Galapagos team recommends Travel Insurance Center for comprehensive coverage.
