Join us for the 2025 Mindful Yoga Fall Equinox Retreat, a nurturing space to pause, reflect, and reconnect with yourself and others.
This retreat is an opportunity to embrace the balance and abundance of the Fall Equinox—a time of transition and harvest, both outward and inward.
Set in the beautiful high-desert landscape of Sisters, Oregon, we’ll come together to explore the wisdom of yoga, Ayurveda, and nature. Through mindful movement, meditation, and free time immersed in the natural surroundings, you’ll release tension, cultivate joy, and align with the earth’s rhythms.
This retreat is designed to create a supportive and nourishing community (Sangha), where you can unwind, explore, and reconnect with your inner wisdom. With a balance of structured practice and ample opportunities to rest or explore, you’ll leave feeling refreshed, grounded, and inspired—ready to embrace life with an open heart and resilient spirit.
Nestled in the stunning high-desert landscape of Central Oregon, Sisters offers the perfect backdrop for a retreat. Surrounded by mountains, rivers, and forests, this small town is known for its natural beauty, rich outdoor opportunities, and a welcoming, artsy vibe.
Steps from FivePine Lodge, the Peterson Ridge Trail System invites exploration by foot or bike. Nearby, you can experience the breathtaking waterfall hikes of Tumalo Falls, Steelhead Falls, and Whychus Falls, or take in the tranquility of the Metolius River Trail—referred to as “the most beautiful river in Central Oregon.” For those seeking adventure, the area offers world-class mountain biking, golf, and the iconic Smith Rock climbing area just a short drive away.
The town of Sisters adds its own charm, with local art galleries, unique shops, and a historic Western atmosphere. Whether you’re hiking through serene trails or strolling through town, this special place offers the perfect blend of peaceful retreat and endless opportunities to connect with nature.
Alix chose this location for its abundance of natural beauty, variety of activities, and inviting atmosphere. Inspired by her visits to the area, she loves its cool mornings, gentle sunny afternoons, and starry skies at night. Sisters truly captures the essence of both refuge and adventure—an ideal setting to celebrate the balance of the Fall Equinox.
Modeled after a historic forestry station, FivePine’s grand lodge is a stunning blend of modern and rustic architecture. With its towering 26-foot rock fireplace and cozy lounge, the lodge offers a welcoming gathering space, perfect for moments of reflection or connecting with fellow retreat participants.
Nestled at the edge of the Deschutes National Forest, FivePine Lodge & Cabins offers an immersive retreat experience surrounded by the natural beauty of Central Oregon’s high desert landscape. This award-winning four-diamond property is designed to inspire relaxation and rejuvenation.
On the FivePine campus, you can indulge in restorative treatments at the Shibui Spa, enjoy complimentary access to the Sisters Athletic Club, or connect to the Peterson Ridge Trail System just steps from the lodge.
Founded on the values of health and sustainability, FivePine is dedicated to reducing its environmental footprint. The campus was developed using a minimal impact approach, with buildings thoughtfully placed around existing trees. Native landscaping and wildflower fields regrow naturally each spring, free from chemicals.
The property also utilizes energy-efficient systems, including tankless water heaters for a 50% reduction in energy use, and rooms are cleaned with earth-friendly cleaning products. FivePine’s commitment to sustainability ensures an eco-friendly retreat experience.

At the heart of this retreat is the opportunity to slow down, reconnect with yourself, and deepen your practice in a supportive and immersive environment.
Facilitated by Alix, an experienced teacher with over 20 years of practice and study, this retreat blends gentle yoga, somatic movement, mindfulness, and meditation to nourish both body and mind.
Alix’s expertise in yoga therapeutics, particularly for back care and scoliosis, ensures that practices are accessible to all levels, with modifications available for those new to yoga or with specific needs.
Alix’s vision for this retreat is to create a mindful space where you can pause from the busyness of everyday life, realign with your inner wisdom, and reconnect with the rhythms of nature. The Fall Equinox offers a powerful time for balance, reflection, and renewal. Through somatic yoga practices and gentle movement, you’ll have the chance to release tension, reflect, and embrace the natural flow of the season.
The retreat’s schedule provides a harmonious balance of structured practice and free time. Each day will include a blend of restorative yoga, breath-centered movement, and meditation, as well as ample time for rest, reflection, and connection with fellow participants.
Alix has carefully designed the retreat to honor both your need for active engagement and moments of stillness.
Whether you choose to unwind in your cozy accommodations, explore the natural beauty around you, or indulge in a restorative treatment at the Shibui Spa, the retreat offers a holistic experience that fosters inner and outer well-being.
One of the highlights of this retreat is the nourishing food, thoughtfully prepared to complement the healing atmosphere of FivePine Lodge & Cabins.
Breakfast includes a continental breakfast before AND/OR after practice. For lunch, you’ll receive a boxed meal, offering flexibility whether you choose to relax on the property or explore the beautiful surroundings. Each evening, you’ll enjoy a delicious dinner with dual entree options served buffet-style.
The menu is crafted with high-quality ingredients sourced from local farmers and ranchers, reflecting the season’s best offerings. As part of the local food renaissance in Central Oregon, the chefs take pride in using organic, sustainable ingredients to create meals that are as nourishing as they are flavorful.
We understand that dietary needs vary, so guests are encouraged to share any dietary restrictions or preferences prior to the retreat, and the chefs will do their best to accommodate. Whether you follow a specific diet or simply enjoy fresh, flavorful food, you can trust that each meal will be satisfying and carefully prepared with your well-being in mind.
To enhance your experience, the retreat also includes a nightly wine and craft beer reception hour, where you can unwind and connect with fellow participants. Additionally, each room is equipped with French press coffee and tea service, allowing you to enjoy a warm, comforting beverage at your convenience.
