Three of us, two age 88 and one age 51, all veteran Baja fisherman, spent Christmas week in Bahia Asuncion staying at La Bufadora Inn. Shari Bondi, the Inn owner, is a highly personable woman, a veteran inn Keeper and hostess who made us feel comfortable. The Inn is spacious enough for three adult males, although we did strain the bathroom, the beds were good, electricity was always available, wifi also was always available, fresh water was mostly available but sometimes rationed by the community. Meals were not available at the Inn but could be ordered in. We found only a single restaurant in the community, Sunset Mary, but it served near gourmet meals at reasonable prices and we gave it all of our business. While we caught fish, we were not impressed with Asuncion as a fishing location, although it should be noted that we were fishing in December, not a prime fishing month in Baja. We were impressed with catching Dorado in December, not a month noted for Dorado fishing.. Altogether, we rated our trip as succcesful and we recommend La Bufadora Inn.

My family has spent a lot of time traveling Baja, this was our first time in Asuncion and we are in LOVE! We will be returning very soon and very often! Thank you to Shari for sharing the beauty of the area and it's people.

We go to Bahia Asuncion every year to fish and relax. Shari has always been very helpful in organizing everything we need while there. We will be coming back for years to come.

We had an awesome week there. The fishing charter Shari arranged was awesome as were walks on the beach with my dogs that were joined by friendly local dogs. Great locally sourced food and the locals were friendly and kind.

It is a beautiful place to stay with Awsome view of the sunset n ocean and world class fishing. Most underrated place in Mexico especially baja
