I went into this “Intensive” expecting a meaningful, educational deep-dive into the practice - something that would justify the high price point and the reputation attached to the Kest's.
What I experienced instead felt disorganized, overcrowded and absolutely not worth the investment.
The event was clearly oversold and the room was packed to the point of discomfort, making it difficult to focus or move safely - let alone the kind of mindful environment yoga is supposed to cultivate.
For something marketed as an intensive, the setup felt more like a crowded drop-in class than a thoughtfully structured learning container.
The content itself lacked depth of any kind. This was advertised in an a way that suggested education and intention - in reality, it felt like little more like a series of overpriced yoga classes, with minimal breakdown of technique and philosophy. There seemed to be very little preparation on their part - which is very disappointing to hear after a hefty investment.
I heard Bryan's teaching style is polarizing, for me it crossed the line from unconventional into unprofessional. Some may find it refreshing, to me it came across as abrasive and unnecessary in this setting for what was presented as a high-level, immersive yoga experience. Instead of creating an inclusive or supportive environment, it felt uncomfortable and at times disrespectful to the practitioner with any type of respect for the practice - leaning more toward shock value than substance of any kind.
Overall, the experience felt misrepresented and significantly overpriced for what was delivered.
There was very little in terms of shared knowledge or teachings that would help practitioners grow beyond what you could get in a studio class. I would not recommend this intensive to anyone looking for depth or a truly enriching yoga education experience.
