Spend a focused, welcoming 4 weeks learning Spanish in Nosara, Costa Rica. This program is designed for adults at every level, from A1 to C2, and combines practical communication with the relaxed rhythm of Playa Guiones in the Nicoya Peninsula Blue Zone. You’ll learn in a supportive small-group setting and use Spanish in real situations from the moment you arrive.

WHAT 20 HOURS MEANS

Your program includes 20 hours of small-group Spanish instruction from Monday through Friday. We place you by level using a placement test and a short oral assessment on the first Monday, so your lessons are relevant and comfortable.

The 20-hour program is most often scheduled from 8:00–11:40 a.m. or 1:00–4:40 p.m. This still leaves plenty of time for surfing, yoga, remote work, or exploring Nosara.

**Please note that we are not able guarantee specific time slots for group classes but we'll do our best to match your preference.

PRIVATE ROOM AT NSI RESIDENCE

Enjoy a private room at the NSI Student Residence. A comfortable option for students who value privacy, independence, and the opportunity to connect with other international students.  Rooms include a private bathroom and AC.  There is also large share kitchen and area to hang out. There are only three rooms so they do tend to fill up quickly. Price is per person.

BUILD YOUR WEEK

Between classes, explore Nosara’s beaches, wellness, wildlife and local life at your own pace. Add a surf or yoga experience to your reservation, or simply enjoy time to practice Spanish around town.

We’ll email you with the next steps, including our placement process and an arrival form to help us prepare for your stay. Before classes begin, we’ll confirm your Spanish level and provide your class schedule.

At NSI, our communicative approach prioritizes confidence, conversation and creative real-world activities. We help you use Spanish the way it is really spoken, with thoughtful guidance and a warm community.

Spanish classes are held daily Monday - Friday and students in our 20-hour program are most often scheduled from 8-1140am or 1-440pm.  A typical day in classes and at Hacienda NSI.

7am:  Make a quick breakfast or smoothie in the kitchen and enjoy on the patio.

8am-1140am:  Spanish Classes

1140am-1:00pm:  Students typically head into town or go home for lunch.

1:pm-6pm:  Free time, most often spent at the beach, doing yoga, shopping, studying, or participating in an NSI event.

6pm:  With only three rooms there is plenty of space to hang out.  Make dinner and enjoy the company of other students.
